Washington DC Today.... So since everyone is talking about D.C. this week I thought I should share somethings that the media doesn't talk about or care about.. --6,380 people are experiencing homelessness on any given day in the capital.. -- Approximately 300 Veterans are homeless in DC everyday --815. Families experience homeless in the Capital of the United States. --Washington, D.C. has 103.3 homeless per 10,000 people, which makes it the city with the highest homelessness level in America. -- The temperature tonight in D.C. will be 29° Fahrenheit.. That is below freezing.. People will be outside sleeping in that tonight.. -- A homeless man was set on fire by a random stranger and died from his injuries in D.C..The man, whose name was Darryl Finney, died on Friday, May 15 2020 after being transported to the hospital. He was 62 years old..
