To genuinely paint the historic picture properly of KM, we must go back to it's conception... which took place inside the womb of The United Cannabis Ministries, specifically in the United Cannabis Ministry and it's spiritual leaders, the Reverends Steven and Seeva Cherms and their originating church "The Marijuana Ministry" founded in 1978-79 in central California and the founding father of the global hemp and cannabis movement, Mr. Jackie Herer.
KM was conceived as a chapter church for the UCM in 2008 and for the pacific northwest, which was officiated as such on Valentines Day of 2009 at the KM headquarters in southern Oregon along the north-end of the Applegate Valley trail at the foot of the Willamette National forest.
In 2010, Herer had an untimely and unfortunate changing of worlds at which point it was affirmed and decided that KM's chapter was to become a completely separate and independent child unlike others and that it would be the warrior for not only cannabis but for ALL other natural earth generated medicines including those known as "The foods and drinks of the gods" of the holy bible... starting with our sacred Mannas. This is when KM officially blessed and proclaimed ourselves as "Soldiers of Jah Ministries" (SOJM), February 2010, and which was both state and federally recognized as well as respected as such b7 2011.
In August of 2013 SOJM was gifted the blessing of a "tribal name" and recognition for our efforts and has remained our public reflection every since... "Kautantowit's Mecautea", or KM for short especially for those who struggle to pronounce it. Further respect was gifted us thereafter from multiple Native American Church(es) including Oklevueha and the Morning Star and Half Moon, which is why for a time KM reflected as "ONAC KM" and also "KMNAC"... but to be true to our core, we simply reflect as KM so to assure clarity in our diversity remains coherently.
That is what reflects from within KM in the spiritual collective Confederation, independent forces like-minded enough about liberty and the preservation of our rights regarding topics resulting in the battlefield as obsticles threatening the sanctionality of them. The example of this which is what has prompted us to look deeper at the confederation is revealing in what KM calls Thee Grand case", one of a small handful currently in motion in DC Federal District Court. "Some of KM's confederated churches are party to the grand case while others are not, an no animosities either way exist... freedom of Choice is respected opposed to be dividing factors to use as tools to divide and conquer the best interest of the greater good of and for all living life.
