This is a "Special Edition" aspect of Kautantowit's Mecautea (KM) School which focuses on our sacred medicines, including Psychedelics. In shamanic culture, these plants, although entheogenic, are not considered a drug; rather, they are considered highly respected and sacred medicines. Shamans believe that these plant medicines are deeply connected to the Spirit, or Source, and can easily show us to these non-ordinary realms where great knowledge can be attained, growth can be accelerated, and true healing can take place.
KM has and continues to Be a global spiritual leader and energy mover of the modern cannabis and psychedelic movements, advancing scientific research, training and education to create access to safe, legal psychedelic experiences for integrative healing and expansion for Over 15 Years! Since these plants are so powerful, they are oftentimes looked at by shamanic cultures as spiritual entities or Gods and Goddesses. Many common shamanic plant medicines include, but are certainly not limited to: Ayahuasca, Iboga, San Pedro cactus, psychedelic mushrooms (though not exactly a plant), Salvia, and Peyote cactus.
KM School is dedicated towards educating our members who answer their individual calling as a Healer, medicine workers, therapists, shaman, roadmen/roadwomen, clinicians and those who wish to beneficially assist in the healing of mother globe and all living breathing beings upon her.

Plant Medicines of KM
Plant medicines have been around for 100,000s of years, helping heal, awaken and access higher levels of consciousness.
Did you know that only 5% is our conscious mind? 95% of what we do, how we act/react, behave comes from our subconscious/unconscious mind!
That is why plant medicines are so amazing as they go straight to the subconscious and bring to the surface that which is ready to be looked at, acknowledge, released and/or healed.
KM has been leading plant medicine ceremonies for over fifteen years and the intelligence, wisdom, knowledge, and healing that they impart, never ceases to amaze us.
Many cultures used these sacred plants in the following rituals:
-
Burial rituals
-
Rites of passage
-
Healing rituals
-
Vision quests
-
Purification rituals
Historically, through these plants, shamans believed they had the power to:
-
Enter trances
-
Combat evil spirits
-
Cure diseases
-
Communicate with ancestors
-
Prevent famine
-
Control the weather
It is also believed that the sacred plant knows exactly what one most needs to see, feel, hear, experience, and learn.
Each ceremony will contain prayers, mantras and chants that are specific to the sacred plant that is being used.

Cacao
cacao ceremony is any sort of ceremony in which a cacao beverage is consumed to elevate the spiritual ritual(s) being practiced.
The cacao used in these ceremonies is chocolate in its purest form. Cacao beans or seeds come from the fruit of the cacao tree and have a distinctly bitter flavor. They're also chock-full of nutrients, making cacao a superfood that has been used in ceremonies dating back to the Mayans and Aztecs. Today, the bitter bean has made its way from Latin America to many corners of the world for casual sipping and ceremonies alike.
Rape'
Rapé is a sacred shamanic medicine used by many tribes of the Amazon as well as other South American indigenous cultures for thousands of years. It is a powder made of various ashes of different sacred plants, combined with fine tobacco. The latter is not the common type used in cigarettes, but rather Nicotina Rustica which is highly potent and cleansing. The resulting powder is highly refined.
When applied and served in a manner that honors the tradition it is coming from, Rapé is powerful medicine. It can provide insight, guidance, protection, connection, cleansing, and healing. It is a holy sacrament, not a substance, and thus should be treated accordingly. When working with Rapé, we work with the Rapé Spirit. Each blend has a different spirit associated with it.
Cannabis
Many people fail to acknowledge that marijuana is actually hallucinogenic to some degree. It may not be anywhere near as powerful as some of the more psychedelic hallucinogens (magic mushrooms, mescaline, etc.), but with the right preparations and dosages, a variety of effects can be felt from mild relaxation to euphoria, to even hallucinations.
Cannabis has a long history of being used throughout many cultures around the world, and has been used in many more today as well.
Amanita Muscaria (Mushroom)
These hallucinogenic mushrooms have been used by Finno-Ugrian people in Siberia, Athabaskan people of North America and even throughout ancient India. It is suggested to be a part of the Soma drug used by the Aryans more than 3500 years ago. Fly Agaric are very important throughout shamanistic rituals and religious ceremonies of the world, throughout history and still today.
Psilocybin (Mushrooms)
Ibogaine is a psychoactive alkaloid naturally occurring in the West African shrub iboga. While ibogaine is a mild stimulant in small doses, in larger doses it induces a profound psychedelic state. Historically, it has been used in healing ceremonies and initiations by members of the Bwiti religion in various parts of West Africa. People with problematic substance use have found that larger doses of ibogaine can significantly reduce withdrawal from opiates and temporarily eliminate substance-related cravings.
Liberty Cap (Psilocybe semilanceata)
Liberty Caps are a fungus with psychoactive effects, very commonly used for its psilocybin and psilocine, which are known to cause hallucinogenic activity. Although the mushrooms are used worldwide today, they were most well-known for their use thousands of years ago in central Europe, as well as within European witchcraft.
Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca is a psychoactive brew or tea most commonly derived from Banisteriopsis caapi, a vine containing monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), and the leaves of Psychotria viridis or other plant containing N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), and often several other admixture plants.
It’s strongly recommended that Ayahuasca only be taken when supervised by an experienced shaman, as those who take it need to be looked after carefully—an Ayahuasca trip leads to an altered state of consciousness that lasts for many hours and can challenge you in ways you could never imagine. The rewards, however, are just as expansive and magical.
Huachuma (San Pedro)
Grandfather Cactus: The pathway to the heart, also known as San Pedro, his indigenous roots began in the Andes mountains of Peru and Ecuador, where the Q’ero, Moche, and Chavin cultures revered his mystical, divine masculine qualities and teachings.
One of the most painful afflictions in the Western world lies in the fact that we are disconnected from nature. San Pedro brings us back into the awareness of our conscious relationship with nature, reawakening a sense of safety and purpose.
Ibogaine
Ibogaine is a psychoactive alkaloid naturally occurring in the West African shrub iboga. While ibogaine is a mild stimulant in small doses, in larger doses it induces a profound psychedelic state. Historically, it has been used in healing ceremonies and initiations by members of the Bwiti religion in various parts of West Africa. People with problematic substance use have found that larger doses of ibogaine can significantly reduce withdrawal from opiates and temporarily eliminate substance-related cravings.
Extra-Terrestrial Medicines
Do you know where your drugs come from? Most of the drugs we use today came from plants originally.
Plant chemicals (phytochemicals) are responsible for some of the most important medical advancements of our time.
Penicillin was the very first class of antibiotics ever discovered. It’s made from a mould known as Penicillium chrysogenum. It was known for years that this mould was able to kill off bacteria, including Streptococcus and Staphylococcus strains that were responsible for substantial loss of human life around that time. A Scottish scientist named Alexander Fleming finally isolated the active constituent in 1928.
Digoxin is a heart medication used for heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias (such as atrial flutter, or atrial fibrillation). It was isolated from the foxglove plant (Digitalis lanata) in 1930, however, the first mention of foxglove derivatives for cardiac related conditions goes all the way back to 1785. It was used to treat a condition known as dropsy, which is an accumulation of fluid under the skin, often as a result of chronic heart failure.
Vincristine and vinblastine are alkaloids taken from the Madagascar periwinkle plant (Catharanthus roseus).
Both are intravenous chemotherapeutic agents used for cancers like Hodgkin’s disease and neuroblastoma. Vinblastine was isolated first in 1958, with vincristine to follow in 1961.
Similarly to Paclitaxel, these alkaloids work by preventing cells from dividing by blocking tubulin. This has a marked effect on cancers, which are often characteristic in how rapidly they divide. As a result of this action, both have fairly strong side effects including hair loss, constipation, nausea & vomiting, neutropenia (low white blood cells), and lung damage.

LSD
LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) is an extra-terrestrial sacred medicine of KM being a semi-synthetic compound first developed in 1938 by Dr. Albert Hofmann at the Sandoz pharmaceutical company in Basel, Switzerland. After Dr. Hofmann first discovered its effects in 1943, LSD quickly became recognized for its possible therapeutic effects. LSD also played a significant role in the discovery of the serotonin neurotransmitter system.
