ONAC is NOT affiliated with NAC-HI!
There seems to be some confusion in regards to whose associated with whom in regards to Oklevueha Native American Church, and so we would like to take a brief moment in the hopes of correcting some of the confusion.
It is important for people to know and first understand, that Oklevueha Native American Church is in fact a Bona-Fide Native American Church because our co-founder, James Warren 'Flaming Eagle' Mooney was given such blessing of honor by multiple tribal members whom had the authority to entrust him with such a powerful blessing.
James nor Oklevueha is in any way legally affiliated with "Native American Church Hawaii" (NAC HI). NAC HI is under the authority of Michael Rex 'Raging Bear' Mooney, one of many sons of James Warren 'Flaming Eagle' Mooney, but not one who has his blessing of such authority as being a part of Oklevueha Native American Church.
Michael Mooney was served a notice of distrust by his father and Oklevueha's Elder Counsel for dishonoring the Code of Ethics and multiple members within Oklevueha Native American Church, as well as continously Slandering the church as a whole, and too, his own father. When Michael failed to honor such notice, and continued his inapproperiate course of bad medicine, Michael was in short, excommunicated out from Oklevueha, but instead of acccepting that decision honorably, Michael instead established his own "Church"... with what if Any valid credentials, we do not know.
Michael Mooney has apparently hired an attorney to represent him in Hawwaiian court... Michael Glenn is his name. Glenn testified to the 9th Circuit court recently that;: "Cannabis is a generic substitution for peyote." This is Wrong and extremely offensive of a statement... First because their is No "Substitution" for the Grandfather medicine (Peyote), and two, because Cannabis is NOT "Generic" nor a "Substitution" for anything, it is it's own sacrament medicine and quite effectively so!
