The Truth behind "NAC HI"
The Truth behind Native American Church Hawaii (NAC HI), is that originally it was "Oklevueha Native American Church Hawaii" under the blessing of Oklevueha EarthWalks Native American church, Oklevueha's "Mother Church", until it's leader, Michael Rex 'Raging Bear' Mooney fell from honor and from the graces of Oklevueha's Elder ounsel and ultimately was stripped of his blessing and position of not only healer, but reflection of Oklevueha Nativie American Church in any and all capasity both formally as well as officially for having continued to breech the Code of Ethics.
Rather than to repent when put on his formal Notice of Distrust, whih wouldl have entailed him to not only admit to the error of his ways, but to apologize as well as to make sincere efforts of righting his wrongs and those wronged by him, Raging Bear instead chose to take the more stubborn route... modifying his branches name into "Native American Church Hawaii (NAC HI). Doing so once excommunicated based upon the blessing of ONAC is illegal, but Raging Bear has secured and obtained his own employee identification number from the government declaring himself such anyway, and even went so far as to have his own attorney, Michael Glenn explain and have acknowledged during a December hearing on his behalf... that there is no more legal nor professional ties between ONAC and the NAC HI churches, period.
Among other things, Michael Mooney was shamed out of the church his father co-founded in 2007 in honor of the tradition of their DNA. Michael's great grandfather James Mooney actually wrote the Code of Ethis for the original Native Amerian Church founded by Quaniah Parker back in the 1800's. For James, having been personally selected for the position of physicially fufilling the initiation of the 7th sared fire times as fortold by White Buffalo Calf Woman was beyond an honor, and it was one he had so looked forward to sharing with his sons... Michael on the other hand, turned out to be one who would not maintain the honor of it.
It was among the hardest of positions for Flaming Eagle to find himself in... having to repremand and then ultimately exclude his own son from the traditional position entitled him by bloodline... but given the severity of the dishonor Raging Bear brought upon the hurch and fellow members, he had no chouce but to honor the decision of the Elder Counsel, giving his son the rope he Knew he'd ultimately hang himself with, whih he did more than a year ago.
It remains unknown if Raging Bear has obtained a blessing from a tribal elder in such authority to deem him a healer and church of their authority or not, nor is it known whether or not he has declared NAC HI a 501c3 or not, or any other directions Raging Bear may have elected to go attempting to prove himself a legitimate church, and honestly doesn't matter to ONAC at this point - he is no longer a part of nor an associate of ours, and is free to go about his journey as he deems fit for himself to do... not our concern, not our problem.
Since the excommunication, Oklevueha as well as Flaming Eagle and all other of Raging Bears relations have not had nor attempted to initiate nor maintain any sort of communication, whether direct nor indirectly with Raging Bear, nor to inquire nor involve ONAC with NAC HI or it's coarse in any fashion. It is important that this be made known as well as honored as the truth and fat of our position, especially now as we are getting unjustified mud slug at ONAC because of the mis-teachings of NAC HI. Remain Strong our brothers and sisters, truth and justice shall prevail once the bullshit is cleared away and only the facts remain.
