ONAC announces Confederation with hereditory chief of the international Anishinaabe/ Ojibwe tribal p
This afternoon during the weekly ProphecyKeepers Radio show, hosted by Will 'BlueOtter' Anderson, international communications director for the Cherokee Nation of Mexico, Oklevueha Native American Church announcced that they have solidified an apprenticeship confederation between the church and the proclaimed hereditary chief of the Ojibwe tribal peoples, Mr. David Gaskin.
Now, for those of you whom may not be aware, Gaskin is from Sugar Island of Sault Ste. Marie, which inhabit the international waters bordering Canada and the United States on the northeastern borders of the nations. David's grandfather, and too, his grandmother both were actual chiefs of the tribal peoples, but before we can even Begin to go into any details of that, it's important that one first comprehends the way these tribes function if you are to truly appreciate their culture and their ways.
The Anishinaabe peoples were divided into a number of odoodeman, or clans, (singular: odoodem) named mainly for animal totems (or doodem, as an Ojibwe person would say this word in English). According to oral tradition, when the Anishinaabe were living along the Atlantic Ocean coast and the great Miigis beings appeared out the sea and taught theMide way of life to the Waabanakiing peoples, six of the seven great Miigis beings that remained to teach established the odoodeman for the peoples in the east.
The five original Anishinaabe totems were
Wawaazisii (bullhead),
Baswenaazhi (echo-maker, i.e., crane),
Aan'aawenh (pintail duck),
Nooke (tender, i.e., bear)
and Moozwaanowe ("little" moose-tail).
According to David, his grandfather- the father of his father are hereditary chief's of the Baswenaazhi (Crane) clan. Furthermore, Gaskin claims that his father's mother was in fact the daughter of Maang (Loon) clan of the Ojibwe peoples of the neighboring islands.
David states that his grandparents married and thereby combining forces in restoring as well as preserving the honor as well as the spiritual and traditional customs of their peoples, and too of Mother world as a whole. David states that to date, his uncle remains a primal active part of the Loon Clan, whereas David is hereditary chief of the Crane Clan.
Traditionally, each band had a self-regulating council consisting of leaders of the communities' clans or odoodeman, with the band often identified by the principle doodem. The clans of David's paternal bloodlines are both "Bemaangik" (Bird)which in turn means that it's they the bird clans whom are charged with Internal/Domestic communications. They were often charged with the community's own council fires and help facilitate dialogue on all internal/domestic issues.
Because David's Bloodlines are of both Crane, "Ajijaak(we)" (Crane) and "Maang" (Loon) of the Ojibwe clans, he insists that he is in fact "A Creator destined emissary", not only for his tribal relations, but also too for Oklevueha's functioning goals overall - which is in short "Unification" of all we the indigenous peoples of Mother Earth, and in the fulfilling of the Seventh Sacred Fire Times, which we are physically in at present, Oklevueha being the essential physical initiation tool chosen by the tribal deciders to be so.
David Gaskin has been gifted the blessing as CEO of Oklevueha Native American Church of the Indigenous Peoples. The church in exchange for providing ONAC with time focused on the internal ceremonial standards specifically in regards to ensuring respect toward tribal members. Once Gaskin's tasks within ONAC are done, "ONAC IPC", is planned to be firmly rooted on Sugar Island... meaning it will be an International Branch of Oklevueha Native American Church that literally sits upon International Waters! Though Oklevueha Native American Church has already long expanded the boundaries of what's known as "North America", .this confederation and unification re-enforces the international status of Oklevueha Native American Church as a whole, and too, opens up many great new realms within church boundaries and otherwise what might be questionable restrictions.
In a nutshell, despite the great many doubting Thomas's and stone-throwing, oppressor feeding "haters", as far as confirmation of validity regarding Oklevueha and our rightful place beside our tribal brothers and sisters as fellow born "American's", this unification about absolutely Squashes any room for the racial attacks being whielded at ONAC as well as the propiganda being spewed at Oklevueha as being some sort of "black eye" to the tribal peoples that walk the lands, and that we are "wannabe Indians" who feed fuel to the "poca-hottie fad" many tribal members feel is continuing to victimize their tribes and somehow steal their cultural identities.
But more importantly, it will further help to put a final end to the controversial issue as to whether or not cannabis, aka "marijuana" is or is not considered a sacred sacrament substance among the indigenous and specifically, our tribal brothers and sisters ancestor relations. Gaskin noted that despite the fact that his tribe doesn't use "peyote or hoasca ceremonially", that he nor Oklevueha stand "against" the use or the differential cultural traditions of others, that in fact quite the contrary is true, they "Embrace them." Gaskin notes that his along with other tribes bear to his, all and always used cannabis - including ceremonially and states that the tribes of his peoples actually Do have an official cannabis sacrament ceremony, soon to be recorded into the Smithsonian!.
Gaskin and other church members describe ONAC as being a "New Age spiritual movement" that as Gaskin notes "Fulfils both the 7 sacred fires prophecy" as well as the "Eagle and Condor prophecy", and Gaskin ultimately welcomes question as well as any challenge. "We are all one, and it's time people started acting like and respecting it." A good point made in which Gaskin personally eagerly jumps into position to, is that we All have Got to unite and work together for the greater good of and for all life upon and yet to be born upon Mother Globe "so to initiate the 8th sacred fire times." In order to blossom into the one tribe as native born peoples upon the "America's" Creator alone decided we are, we must first achieve this Before being ready to conjoin with our global hoop of human beings, we must first each All accept that we the rainbow skinned, or mongreals of America have a place standing among those brothers and sisters born here
Church members also confirm that Oklevueha is going through some internal restructuring type of issues, of which David Gaskin is offering to be an essential factor. It was stated that Gaskin is being considered appointment to the Oklevueha Native American Churches "High Spiritual Counsel" and it has also been confirmed that he too will have a secured seat on the ONAC Spiritual High Warrior's Counsel. Sources inside ONAC state that Gaskin is being apprenticed for consideration as an Inter-tribal emissary.
Gaskin has been working with ONAC KM's sachem Hawkeye Graves, and word is that the pair have been hard at work with a great many aspects regarding the future endeavors and functional operations the whole of ONAC's future is concerned. Though Graves remains focused on securing member and churches rights and function overall, Gaskin went so far as to bring forth a suggestion regarding the future financial option of bitcoin to the ONAC table, which he says he has connections with it's establishers.
Near the last moments of the hour long show, an unidentified federally recognized tribal member who refused to identify himself called in and was warmly welcomed into the round table discussion... though to the participants surprise, the gentlemens call was far from accepting of ONAC. The elder was somewhat known by Gaskin who states that the same man has called on a few occasions before over the last few years of Gaskin's intense front line activism. When the show's host made the comment that Gaskin was "nothing short of the next Tecumseh", the caller quickly took offense stating "Those are big words."
In short the elder noted his disapproval of ONAC and even went so far as to state that as a tribal military veteran, he feels that Oklevueha is trampling on "The bones of our ancestors." Before the mans words could be addressed, he quickly chose to get off the phone, of coarse never noting who he was or any way to resume the conversation. From what the man had said, he continues to follow Gaskin and now too, is researching Oklevueha Native American Church, looking for scrutiney apparently to be found in both. Show host noted that the man had called from a 202 area code, indicating the number as being from Washington DC. Gaskin told the remaining participants that the man could well be a representative voice of the BIA as Gaskin recalls in a conversation past between he and the man, that the man noted that he had worked in DC as an official of sorts relating to native issues, and that though since retired, he maintains a DC phone number despite not living within Washington DC.
Ultimately Gaskin and additional members of ONAC concur that more round table talks regarding the church and future functioning of it will include future talks with tribal leaders and elders, but ultimately Oklevueha remains firm in the standing that we are all one people, the species of human being, and that with or without the support or respect of any, Oklevueha has no intention of standing down nor accepting an "inferior position of respect" when it comes to their rights, liberties and freedoms as the peoples born upon this land and globe.
