KM Sachem crashes Golden Gate Bridge

It is with a little bit of sadness as well as humor that we report that ONAC KM Sachem Joy Graves has had an unfortunate accident while traveling the roads for church business.

On a dark, foggy and sprinkling Friday night, Sachem Graves, while exiting off of the Golden Gate Bridge heading to the vista point overlooking the bay and Alcatraz, smashed into the concrete wall guiding traffic off of the bridge into the park area.

Fortunately for Graves, she and church member Michael Minter are alright and sustained no injury. Surprisingly, the church vehicle overall is alright and still drive-able, though as you can see in the picture, ONAC KM "Car 420" did sustain some cosmetic issues.

Graves and her church member were traveling from Oregon to Hayward, California so that Graves could assist James Mooney in the church blessings of "ONAC East Bay" in Hayward, and "ONAC South Bay" in San Jose, California when the accident happened. Graves was quickly encountered by park police who then called for CHP to come to the scene and assess the damage and any legal action. Thankfully the church vehicle being registered as a church vehicle helped to confirm Graves and Minter's statement and reason for being on the road in the bay area. Graves is a dual resident of both Oregon and California state, with an apartment just a few short miles away from the accident in Alameda, California that she shares with her brother and sister-in-law.

Graves, whose church primarily uses "Mother Medicine" aka Cannabis sacrament, had just come from the ONAC Hayfork church where she had picked up a few different cannabis sacraments along with some "manna" (mushrooms), which were discovered when CHP searched the church vehicle. Graves is a current 215 and OMMP medicinal cannabis patient in both California and Oregon state, however, she did not have any documentation proving her right to possess the sacrament substances on hand, only her ONAC membership card which she did promptly notify and show officers.

Ultimately, with notice of the fact officers could have seized it and her, the officers instead decided to "Take your word for the fact you have the right to possess these substances" and elected to take no legal action at the scene. "Pop your trunk please, so we can place the stuff in your trunk" the officer instructed, which Graves happily did. Graves notes that police did comment on the illegality of having cannabis "extracts" referring to the kief, wax and hashish, but ultimately that it and all the cannabis were placed into the trunk by officers and it and they continued on their journey and successfully made both blessing ceremonies without further incident.

way without incident, ticket or confiscation.
