News from the front lines of Black Snake Battle
Sad as it is, apparently too few are aware of the seriousness of battles going on right now for each and every one of our sakes out in the Black Hills of North Dakota, but fortunately for all is that Oklevueha Native American Church is not only extremely aware, but are in action when it comes to defending us in such a situation, in addition to publishing this article too of coarse!
On September 1st 2016, three tribes initially joined with the Standing Rock Sioux Nation against the Black Snake at the Oceri Sakowin Camp. Ceremonial dance was performed and too, Sioux Chairman of Standing Rock Rez David ArchambaultII was gifted a full headdress for his leadership efforts involving the battle now going on against Black Snake. Since this initiation dozens of tribes now stand with them, along honorably with several members of Oklevueha Native American Church among them as well.
Just outside Cannon Ball, North Dakota, from the front lines at Red Warrior Camp, word trickles down and out as to what exactly is going the hell on out in the Black Hills of "Indian" country, aka Your and My land on this here "United States", better known as Turtle Island, and it is assured that this is indeed among the top priority of battles to be had needing known by the people of the land.
This is the battle of Black Snake, a long known and concerning prophecy among the native born people for being a "Bad Medicine" enemy of Great Creator and Mother Earth, not to mention Disasterous for all we who dwell upon her. Many believed that the battle against Black Snake had been won last year, but reality proves that this snake is far from dying as far as government and profiteers are concerned.
According to multiple ONAC members whom are literally out there on the Front-Lines, the Dakota access pipeline hired private security, many of whom turned out to be sex offenders and other various criminals, whom attacked peaceful protesters both physically as welll as with pepperspray and poorly trained attack dogs. These dogs are reported in multiple cases as having turned on the handlers themselves, so why they were brought To Peaceful Protest draws quick concern as well as outright anger and frustration.
The tribes made an amendment in court to some of the locations they considered sacred, and DAPL used this information to destroy a sacred burial site the following Saturday, which is when things truly began to turn ugly between the people. Ultimately, 6 protesters were injured, including 1 child and one pregnant woman.
Police forces made sure to not be present during the attacks on protesters
In a joint statement, the Army, Department of Justice, and Interior Department said construction near Lake Oahe will halt until thorough environmental assessments are conducted. They will reassess permitting decisions for the project under the National Environmental Policy Act. The governor had deployed national Guard, though we are not sure of their status of that right now.
Members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe praised the decision. David Archambault II, the tribe’s chairman, called it a “historic moment”, but also stressed that there is more work to be done:
“I want to take a moment and reflect on this historic moment in Indian Country. But I know that our work is not done. We need to to permanently protect our sacred sites and our water. There are areas on the construction route that do not fall within federal jurisdiction, so we will continue to fight.”
Here is a link to video footage aquired by our member involving the macing as well as the use of attack dogs against the protestors at the front lines on September 4th, just days ago... please watch and then spread this so that people know what's Really going on in this battle for life:
