ONAC KM Sachem diagnosed deathly ill

It is with great sadness that we are informing you that ONAC Kautantowit's Mecautea leader Sachem Joy Graves has fallen gravely ill due to sepsis infection and is not in good condition. We are asking for your smoke and prayers along with well wishes for her at this time.

Many who know Sachem Graves are aware that she has been a very ill young woman for quite some time, though has been receiving only little if any medical treatment if any at all from her health care Kaiser Permanente NW. Graves has been with Kaiser Permanente since she was three weeks old.

As her health has been slowly dwindling for quite some years, she has stuck with Kaiser Foundation believing that ultimately they were her "best bet" for getting any form of medical treatment at all. Graves has been a Kaiser member since she was 3 weeks old in southern California and says they are good, but the Pacific Northwest Permanente she says remains sub-standard as far as providing quality patient care and treatment.

For her infection, NW Permanente have been giving Graves a total of 10 penicillin pills per month. They admit to her that protocol is to immediately admit a patient like her into the Intensive Care Unit and begin "hardcore antibiotics intravenously, however because Graves uses medicinal cannabis for other conditions, ultimately they refuse "until you test free of marijuana for 3 months by both blood and urine testing." This is Not an option for Graves as when she goes without cannabis her kidney's and liver begin to almost immediately begin to fail, as does her appetite from cachexia, and her pain and Parkinson's symptoms increase to intolerable levels.

Due to her lacking proper care, and medications, Graves lung function dropped from 50% which is bher"baseline"down to 23% while out on the road doing missionary work for another church member and she broke out into a stinky sweat so she quickly found her way to a local Kaiser clinic outside the Pacific Northwest. Despite discovering the state of Oregon had cancelled her medical coverage that very morning, due to the serious of her symptoms the on-call physician agreed to see her. A $165.00 bill later, the physician diagnosed that the sepsis was now "seeping into her tissue, extremely life threatening.

The physician decided to immediately call for an ambulance to transfer Graves to a local hospital for admittance, treatment with IV antibiotics and emergency surgery. Kaiser officials over-rode the decision due to the lack of coverage so ultimately Graves was sent home with prescriptions she cannot get filled and the instruction to re-establish her medical and present herself to the hospital for admittance and treatment "within 48 hours." Graves has tried regaining her coverage but has yet to be successful. As of now, she remains gravely ill and without Any form of medication including her much needed cannabis sacrament.

Again we ask for smoke and prayers for she and her situation. Oregon government have chased her out of state after impounding she and the churches only running vehicle. Cancelling her insurance she says "Is their typical icing on my shit cake" but insists that being destitute and without medical resource and treatment is still the safer route for her to be in right now as she insists "If Oregon government get their way I would already be dead." Graves insists that since her church filing a federal injunction state law enforcement officials in Oregon have been "trying harder than ever before to harm and kill me."

Due to the intentional dereliction of now former church legal counsel, the injunction has been taken off the federal court schedule in Oregon but the presiding judge remains eager to see the case re-filed and promises to "expedite it in the court schedule once it is" in the hopes of protecting Graves and her church members from continued retaliatory attacks by law enforcement officials. "The original filing was to include restraining the state of Oregon from encountering and harassing Oklevueha members which has been occurring non-stop for a year now, when it is re-filed it Will be correct and hopefully stop these unjust attacks once and for all." Graves has been pushing as well as literally Begging the mother church to get this accomplished but thus far to no successful avail.

According to church officials $400.00 and a local counsel willing to represent the case in Portland federal court is all that is holding it's accomplishment up, but Graves says she is willing to represent the case herself in court "If that's what it takes to protect our church and members from our ongoing victimization by the state government." Smoke, prayers and any other assistance offered would be greatly appreciated.

Please stay tuned for future updates regarding this and other pertinent Oklevueha news and information.
