Official ONAC Mother Church Press Release

As much as we remain sorrowful for the victims, we feel spiritually moved and so offer to the public an official response from the Mother tree of Oklevueha Native American Church in the hopes it brings reassurance to our sympathies and outreach to those suffering:

Oklevueha Native American Church, statement regarding Yuba County Sherriff shooting.

Oklevueha Native American Church (ONAC) wishes to send prayers to the officers and their families involved in the Yuba shooting at a local Rastafarian Church.

Oklevueha Native American Church (ONAC) is in no way involved with this property and wish to clarify that the site of the incident is a Rastafarian branch of Sugarleaf Productions. The Sugarleaf branch leaders Heidi Grossman & Charles Edward Lepp were recently sent a cease and desist letter by ONAC which included a separation, effective immediately from ONAC.

The potential for this type of situation is the very reason why ONAC has separated itself from Sugarleaf Productions and their Rastafarian branches.

Upon investigation into some serious allegations, we discovered that their leaders were not following ONAC’s Code of Ethics or Code of Conduct when signing up their independent branches. This particular branch is not affiliated with ONAC and the mother church and therefore ONAC is greatly relieved to have irrevocably severed ties with them.

This incident emphasizes the wisdom of the disciplinary action recently taken by ONAC. All are invited to read the official statements from Oklevueha NAC on their website at these links.

ONAC is a peaceful and humble church founded upon human kindness, love for our fellow man regardless of race, and the protection of Mother Earth. We do not accept violence in any way, shape or form. Again, our prayers and thoughts are with the Yuba County Sherriff’s Department and their families. We pray for a full recovery of the two deputies.

AHO!
