T-Chill Rocks Shangri~La!

We are and remain so Honored and Proud to share with you some Good Medicine news, which is sought by many for a change, and thanks to our young Mecautea (warrior) we can! Tyler Chillson, aka "T-Chill" was blessed with the opportunity to perform with the "rOMerdOMe all Stars" at the annual "Shangr-La" festival, which was held at Harmony Park this last weekend in Minnesota.

For those of you who don't know, T-Chill was the youth delegate for ONAC KM prior to maturing into the warrior he has. Now he is honored as being our Unity Delegate Emissary and he has also been blessed as being President of his own Independent branch of Oklevueha known as "Garden of Unity" which he rooted in his homeland of Bemidji, Minnesota and operates with his mother and his siblings.

"This year has been rough for everyone and Shangri La was much needed and did a lot of healing for all of us. I'm glad that I was able to make it out and perform for you guys. Can't wait until I go back home to Harmony Park again for the next festival because it gets better every year!! I wanna say thank you to the ROMErdOME Allstars for letting me perform with them and to everyone else who I crossed paths with. I had a great time!! It was good seeing some people that I haven't seen for a while and visit. You guys rock!! This community of people from Harmony park is one big happy family and I wouldn't trade it for the world!! See guys again next year!!"

For those of you unaware, Shangri~La is a 3 day ANNUAL Music Festival in Southern Minnesota hosted by Wookiefoot which T-Chill describes as being "A place to call Home". It is always the 2nd weekend in September at Harmony Park Music Garden and is a 3 day event complete with camping options! One of the beautiful things about Shangri-La is as T-Chill says "They acknowledge the water protectors and people from Sundance come out and sing songs on the hand drum."

According to T-Chill, "They have several festival there aside from Shangri-La including Project Earth Revival and the Big Wu family reunion" and he also says that "Nahko goes there all the time as well and honor the earth." He also gives us this link and encourages all in the area who are interested in such events to check it out:

Another attendee named Chrissy B Hannah had this to say about this years event: "Shang was perfect this year! It was so different than last year. I felt more at home this year. Shang taught me a lot of lessons. It taught me to not care what anybody thinks, to be more positive, that I should learn more about my culture and many more. This year i felt like i was at home. To the curly long haired chick who helped me get up front during nahko, youre amazing! I appreciate you helping me get up there! You helping me was the highlight of the whole weekend! :D i hope you remember me and i hope we can be friends! I was the one with the fur coat and native inspired makeup with glitter and a gem on my forhead."

During the weekend they serve at least one community meal which is said to be awesome plentiful and filling. They also have a "Prayer Station" which we're told is a very treasured addition to the community during the event. Another awesome implementation they have is "The Giving Tree" where people leave and or find things of need throughout the weekend such as clothing, diapers, sunglasses, and so forth for the taking and having.

We also happened on this video link of T-Chill singing at Shangri La (not on stage this one) singing of Standing Rock which is so cool we had to share it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/163156793773110/ thanks to Doug McLean for publicly sharing it!

Here is also a picture of the flier which has most of the exciting things going on and of some of the great many bands that were there to bless the audience with there talent:

There are a lot of great pictures and posts from the weekend on there facebook group page, too many from too many sources to include here, so we also are giving you a link to their page and encouraging you to check out both the posts and too, the albums here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/163156793773110/

Again, we as always are honored by T-Chill and all the Good Medicine he puts into our globe especially representing ONAC and the Honorable way to live with our globe as he does, he So deserves this blessing and many more, especially for all the front line efforts he has put forth stopping DAPL - blessings to he and all his relations as well as all our ONAC tribal family.

As always we Thank you so much for your interest and support in all things of interest to Oklevueha, we are so Thankful for each and every one of you, and send blessings of peace and love to encompass you!
