WeedmanReady for Trial in Trenton

Well ladies and gentlemen, for those of you who have been waiting for an update on the situation and status with Edward "NJ Weedman" Forchion, we do have one, it's just not what we were hoping to report.

On Monday, September 13th 2017, a hearing was held in Trenton, New Jersey where Forchion remains in police custody facing two separate criminal cases, one being drug charges stemming from an April 2016 raid at his Trenton restaurant, and another for witness tampering which prosecutors alleged that by publicizing the name of the informant police used in the drug case and asking for information about the CI justifies him being held in jail without bail for now in this "legal lynching."

Michelle Esquenazi explains it best: "Basically the 8th amendment right to bail was taken away from NJ residents...so if you are accused of what they have deemed a high crime, you stay in jail with no chance of bail...The rest of the offenders are released on taxpayer funded bail programs! Total shitshow!"

The reason Forchion remains in police custody is because he had posted up a request for information about a person Forchion Suspected might be acting as a confidential informant (CI) and he was seeking information about the man. Mercer County Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie Katz argues Forchion's post on his own facebook page was putting there now obvious informant at risk by spreading his name on social media. Way to protect your witness there Ms. DA, because of your action the world now Knows the guy IS your confidential RAT now don't we! What ever happened to "Freedom of Speech" we wonder - police put up requests Just like Forchion did in effort of gathering information about people and that's not illegal, so how is it on Forchion's own personal social media page suddenly Illegal when he does it?

A judge denied the request, saying the 67 days of the 180 he served as of September 1st don't count toward the 180-day speedy trial limit because motions in the case were being decided during that period.

Here is an interview that was had with Weedman just today:

It might not be a fair trial, he argued, but he's ready, saying: "Bring it on, No jury's going to find me guilty."

The biggest concern weighing on the minds of Forchion and his supporters is that statistics prove that 2/3 of defendants held in jail prior to trial are found guilty because they cannot participate in their defense. We believe that is the goal of the Trenton prosecutors in this situation ware keeping Forchion in police custody, because he is known to have attained freedom despite guilt under the Jury Nullification aspect of law.

Betty Keehan says it best: "We have real crimes that don't receive this much government intervention. Shame on for them using our tax dollars for such a non violent action..Smoking pot is not criminal in NJ. Medical marijuana is legal in NJ...Why does the Bully Christy still insist that it won't be as long as he is Governor. He had the people put in their desires and the People said Legalize Marijuana...What does the Gov not understand? Glad he is on the way out.. Bully Government has NO Place in NJ ... Free the NJ Weedman NOW."

As you can see, Eddie has personalized his orange jumpsuit "Political Prisoner #420" which pretty-much summarizes his position in Mercer County New Jersey as of the present time. All who are outraged are encouraged to share it along with this and or other articles speaking of the injustice going on in Trenton with local media as well as civil rights and cannabis related organizations that claim to be there as a support resource for people in Forchion's position. We also Highly encourage you to express your outrage to the court, the prosecutor's office and to Governor Christie as this is a gross abuse of political power on New Jersey's part.

As always, we Thank you so very much for your continued interest and support in all things of interest and concern to Oklevueha. Please stay tuned for future updates on this and other news and information we believe may be pertinent to you. Blessings to all, and thanks again for being here!
