A closer look at "New Jersey Weedman"

Because of the growing concern for Weedman's literal life and freedom, many are noticing that we are increasing our attention, support and the public upset being caused upon society thanks to the state government of New Jersey. Since we are indeed, we thought it would be appropriate to take a little deeper look into the life and times of New Jersey Weedman so to get to better know and understand him.

So, Robert Edward "Ed" Forchion, Jr., also known as NJWeedman and to we and many "Eddie", was born on the 23rd of July in the year 1964 in Camden, New Jersey, making this a 54 year old man we're talking about being victimized here by his native state, sad and shameful of the state of New Jersey in Our opinion!

On the personal aspect, Ed is divorced father of five children whom is a dual resident of both New Jersey and the state of California. Due to bone cancer, Eddie has been a California registered medicinal cannabis patient for well over 7 years, which has caused him endless problems with the state of New Jersey government as they didn't have nor did there officials Want any form of cannabis laxation within there state laws. Forchion changed all that, advicating as a true front line liberation warrior should do. As he did, he also began educating they and the nation to the right of Jury Nullification as well, something proving to spare our citizens from unjust punishments within the legal system of government.

Forchion is best known as a native born American Rastafari whom is a world renoun cannabis rights and free speech activist. Forchion is also known as being a frequent candidate for public office in the state of New Jersey.

This warriors sacrafices and legal battles include his being arrested for "intent to distribute" on November 24, 1997 in Bellmawr, New Jersey. Ultimately in this case Forchion accepted a plea bargain for a 10-year state prison sentence in September 2000. In April 2002 he was released and admitted to New Jersey's intensive parole supervision program. State authorities claimed he violated terms of probation by filming several public service announcements advocating changes to New Jersey's drug laws and Forchion was held in jail. A federal judge later held that expulsion from the program and additional incarceration violated his free speech protections.

In 2010 Eddie was arrested in Mount Holly, New Jersey after a traffic stop. In this incident he ultimately ended up being charged with possession with intent to distribute and convicted of possession and sentenced to two years probation and a $2,500 fine. Because ultimately the jury couldn't reach a verdict on intent to distribute, a separate trial was convened. and ultimately because Forchion urged the jury to employ jury nullification to overturn an unjust law. The defense which proved effective and resulted in Forchion receiving a 12-0 verdict of acquittal in his favor.

Unfortunately later, Ed would be convicted for violating the terms of that probation, a sentence for which the judge jailed him for nine months. Though he fought and fought it, he lost his appeal and ultimately had to serve out his sentence. Hiss next legal dance would come in 2012, when federal agents in California raided his cannabis farm, confiscating and ultimately destroying the state sanctioned plants allowed him for his medicinal needs. Ultimately this case was dismissed but it still cost him greatly when it came to his medicine and caused him great physical pain and mental duress.

Short after, and we're literally talking about in less than a Year's time, Forchion was Again arrested, this time on April 15, 2013 in Evesham Township, New Jersey and Again for possession of his beloved Mother Medicine. .Forchion was arrested on various charges in Trenton in 2016 including Cyber Bullying a police officer by the name of Herb Flowers who Ed insists pervoked the issue initially by continuing to harass he and his associates, customers and church congregation members and sanctuary.

On March 3, 2017, Robert Edward Forchion was arrested and charged for the final time thus far, this time being charged with second-degree witness tampering and third-degree witness tampering which prosecutors insist was illegal but Forchion and his supporters insist that Weedman committed no witness tampering crime, first because the court vioilated his right to legally know who there "confidential Witness" is, and second because whatever of his inquiries about possible suspects, was done on his own social media page and NOT in a threatening fashion but instead done in the Exact same way Law Enforcement Officers (LEO's) do when They're seeking personal information about one of Their "suspects."

Weedman's Religious History...

In the summer of 2005 Weedman would be requested to attend and partake in the official formation of "The United Cannabis Ministries" which was the very first official "Cannabis Church" formation of it's kind. To this day and forever will he be respected and honored as an official co-founder of such ministries.

From there, Eddie established the Liberty Bell Temple Church in downtown Los Angeles, California, followed by the Liberty Bell Temple II which was located in Hollywood, California, and finally, the Liberty Bell Temple III, which is in downtown Trenton, New Jersey, straight across from there courthouse and Caddy-corner from the Federal Courthouse. Both the Liberty Bell Temples II and III have been connected to adjacent restaurant lounges also operated by Forchion as a support system for his churches, the last opening in 2015 there in Trenton. The photographs immediately below show both the Liberty Bell II and III temple buildings:

You see, in 1993, when the U.S. Congress passed the (42 U.S.C. § 2000bb(a)), which is the "Religious Freedom and Restoration Act" and allows for the religious use of marijuana on federal grounds during the course of a religious ceremony, Forchion initiated "smoke outs" or "smoke downs" at the national monument. Ed travels the country teaching people about laws like this as well as about Jury Nullification and others that protect religious rights regarding cannabis and other plant and natural sacrament substances. He is accredited for getting the state of New Jersey the right to medical cannabis as a treatment option.

As Eddie is currently detained in jail, we know this show will be continuing on and we plan to be right at his side watching his back and the BS goes down. As soon as we know more about him and upcoming court dates, we will promptly let you know in the hopes you will try to be there to show him he does have our communities continued gratitude and support.

Please stay tuned for future updates on Weedman and all other things of interest to ONAC and the cannabis community.
