Sorrow as couple of 75 years died in Ca. fires
It is always with a sad heart that we have to bring to you such a sorrowful report as this, but we do because it needs known and remembered. Most of you know about the fires that broke out across California over the last few days, well this article comes as a result of the fire that swept Napa Valley like a thief in the night, and no, it's not about the vinyards or the winery devistation, it's way more important and heart-wrenching.
Charles (age 100) and his wife Sara Rippey (age 98) were trapped in a "firestorm" inside their home in Napa and according to there son, were not able to move fast enough to get out. Sara had a stroke so was very limited in her mobility and family say that even if he had made it to there bedroom, he likely wouldn't have been able to get her out, nor would he have left her side.
According to the couple's son, the two had met and fell in love while in grade school. Charles served 4 years in the Army during World War II and went on to live an honorable life with his wife and their 5 children. The couple lived in Napa for the last 35 years and had quite an interesting life which is talked about in a little more detail in the media video below:
In addition to there children, the Rippley's also leave behind 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Though these are but two of many victims of the California fires, and among the most heart breaking, there son expresses that he and the family are glad that they at least got to go together though they will be missed deeply beyond measure to all who knew and love them.
We ask that you please take a moment of silence in remembrance of the Rippley's and send your loving energies of compassion and prayers to the family at this time - Thank you.
Also we ask that you please keep All the victims of the fire in your thoughts and prayers, hope and faith are needed now more than ever. If there is Anything that you can and are willing to do to show your brotherly love to those suffering, please do knowing all that you do is immensely appreciated!
We Thank you for your continued interest and support and hope that you stay tuned for future news and updates.
