Pappas fails to appear at both BAR Hearings!

Indeed it is with great surprise to many to find out that California proclaimed "Civil Rights" Attorney Matthew Scott Pappas, of Long Beach, California failed to appear for Both of the hearings scheduled for him by the California state BAR last week, but many former clients as well as associates say it's nothing more than the continuation of a bad pattern Pappas got comfortable in long ago, one long warned would one day cause him trouble.

Matthew Pappas came under investigation with the California state BAR in the beginning of the summer of 2016 after a federal judge in the 9th filed a formal complaint with the state BAR against Pappas calling for disciplinary action to be rendered against him. Pappas had failed to appear Multiple times before the court which ultimately condemned the client as well as disrespected the court. As a result, an investigation was conducted against Pappas and because incompetence was found in that and one other case handled by Pappas, ultimately he was suspended from the right to practice law as an attorney in the state of California for a minimum of 6 months.

Pappas admitted to dereliction in his efforts as an attorney for his clients but was quick to point and claim he suffered from extreme mental illness. As a result, he was ordered into mental health counseling during his suspension. Because both hearings were scheduled as "Closed Door" we remain unsure as to what the hearings were specifically about but believe that they were to review his disposition and ultimately determine whether or not the state BAR association would be willing to trust him to practice law in the state of California again or not.

What we Know...

We know that Matthew Pappas has been found to have been incompetent and unprofessional in the representation of multiple clients during the year 2016, and that he willingly admitted to it during his investigation by the California State BAR. We know that as a result of that conclusion, Pappas's rights to practice law was suspended for a minimum of 6 months and that he was additionally ordered into mental health treatment while on suspension. It remains unclear whether he complied or completed such order as of the present time.

We know by Pappas's own account to many, that he never personally "Wanted" to be an attorney. According to him, he felt pressured from his family, especially his father who also was a long time practicing attorney who did his job well and honorably retired to the Pacific Northwest. According to Matt, his career and passion of choice is in computer programming. Beings he failed to appear, it remains unclear as to whether or not Pappas has any sincere intention towards practicing law again or whether or not he's using this as an excuse to bow out of the profession forever. Even if Pappas were to appear at this point, it doesn't guarantee that the state BAR would give him any leniency, especially considering he came before them for failing to appear in court as scheduled multiple times, but now has failed to appear before the BAR several times as instructed.

We know that Matthew Pappas is in trouble with the state BAR for having botched two cases, both which cost his clients there justice and led to a federal judge reporting him for improper conduct and led to the temporary suspension of his law license in the state of California. We also know that there are a great manny other clients Pappas made into victims due to his incompetence within the state of California, including multiple cases he cost Oklevueha Native American Church, and too, that he also botched cases for many other clients beyond the California state border as well that have yet to be brought to the light and eye of justice. Any such victims of Pappas that you know, please encourage them to reach out to us in the hopes we can somehow help assist his victims.

We know that Matthew Pappas voluntarily admitted to the investigators of the California State BAR that he has and continues to suffer from extreme mental illness and stated to them that he feels "On the edge" of a breakdown frequently, especially when expected to appear in court. We know that he had become comfortable in using such excuse with his clients as well, and that on a few accounts while insisting he was "With his therapist" seeking help and treatment, Oklevueha found him more than once actually having himself a good time in Las Vegas. When confronted, Pappas stated "Vegas is how I give myself therapy."

We know that Matthew Pappas was scheduled into court to appear before the BAR in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the 11th of October 2017, and that he failed to appear.

We know that Matthew Pappas was scheduled into court to appear before the BAR in Los Angeles on Friday, the 13th of October 2017, and that he failed to appear.

We know that Matthew Pappas publicly admitted to having established 30 churches since April of this year, which is interesting to many who know him because he not only prides himself for being Agnostic, but because he goes so far to denounce all concepts of a Creator and created creation. To the knowledge of those who know him, Pappas has never had any respect for religion of any kind, and never sought any form of official ordination from any organized religion.

What we Hear...

We hear that Matthew Pappas has a mental Fear having to appear in courtrooms, especially as counsel that's being expected to speak. As the case in which the judge initiated the investigation and disciplinary action be considered against Pappas, it's noted that Pappas himself admitted to having actually hidden in the restroom opposed to appearing in the courtroom as scheduled. A close source who happened to be present that day stated that Pappas not only Hid in the restroom, but when the bailiffs went looking for him, Pappas literally jumped out of the bathroom window and literally fled, and boasting later about having ran top speed so that they wouldn't catch him and force him to appear before the judge.

We hear that Matthew Pappas has "Taken all the money from selling his churches and is nowhere to be found." It remains unclear exactly how many churches exactly he has made in total or how much per church he's been selling them for, but we know that the 30 fake churches he made in 2016 he had sold from anywhere from $100-125 thousand dollars a piece before he was confronted and then terminated from Oklevueha Native American Church that June, and that he has boasted of having made at least 30 more churches just from June through September of 2017.

We hear that once again Matthew Pappas has removed his personal social media page, disconnected his multiple cellular phones and has closed his email account. These are common actions when Pappas feels he is in a corner and doesn't want to answer to or accept any responsibility or accountability for his unprofessional conduct. According to his partner, Pappas remains unreachable and his whereabouts completely unknown since the morning of October 11th when Pappas again failed to appear in court for the first of two hearings.

We hear from a few different sources, including his partner in the latest church scam, that Matt is believed to have taken off in one of the two jet planes he recently purchased with intent of transporting his churches sacramental cocaine and cannabis across country and has fled the state of California completely. It's being suspected that Pappas may have fled north to Oregon as he has a son in Eugene which he feels close with and also too, his father has a home and land in the Medford/Ashland area.
