ONAC Women's Red Tent Retreat this weekend!
We are honored to relay the news that Oklevueha Medicine Woman Linda Stone is calling upon all the women of ONAC that are able, to come together this Friday evening November 3rd 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah, especially those who are or have just entered womanhood so that you can be properly welcomed into the web of Creation in a Good Medicine spiritual way by your fellow sisters and grandmother relations!
To most tribes, women are revered as being the most sacred "thing" had by the tribe, because without woman there would be no tribe as they are the bringers of life in the cycle of procreation. Because of this, Oklevueha Native American Church in keeping honor to their wisdom, are holding this special retreat Just for the women members. Please understand that it is nothing personal nor segregating about this, ONAC also has Men Only retreats as well that are specifically focused on male only issues, same as we do for elders, veterans and children. Mostly we host ceremonies for all, but too, as you see, we do host specialty ceremonies and services as needed and available to be offered specifically for groups within needing such wisdom resources.
This particular ceremony is to do with women's menstruation cycle and it's connection to the web of creation, and Creator alone determines who needs the wisdom to this sacred medicine.
Within the native culture, women’s periods are called being in one’s moon time. Referring to the monthly moon cycle. To ONACKM this ceremony goes hand-in-hand with the young ladies journey as they transition from child into womanhood. "It is a very sacred time for our young ladies, and the reason for ceremonies and retreats such as these are to ensure they flourish confidently connected within the whole of the web of Creation. Coming together and being taught by the elder women who have been through and understand it, is an invaluable and priceless tradition we feel demands such honor and importance of being encouraged, and I Hope that our women, especially the blossoming ones now will consider attending if they can."
Linda Stone will guide us on a profound spiritual journey as we enter this sacred Healing Ceremony as the circle of Oklevueha women. On Saturday we will be lead into discussion and ritual by "My Sensual Nature's" own Shelley Roberts and Marni Robertson, where we will learn how to honor our "Womb space" and our "Divine Feminine cycles." We will also receive further healing in a powerful Breathwork Meditation and then conclude and connect through Potlach, a beautiful gift giving ceremony. (Please click on the link above for more information about the hosts where text is in blue.)
The Cost of this retreat is $200 per lady, which includes the full ceremonial event, overnight lodging, and 3 meals which will include vegan and gluten free options. For more information or details, and to confirm your place in this sacred ceremony, please contact Shelley at (801) 361-3437
As always we Thank you for your continued interest and support. Please stay tuned for future updates about all things of interest encompassing Oklevueha native American Church. Blessings to all! Hope to see you there!
