Oregon "Justice System" broken and costly to tax payers
Today we look at a couple of Oregon deputy sheriff's who have recently been on "Administrative Leave" because we feel it's important that people Realize how Costly such actions Cost the tax payers as we feel most people do not know or fathom.
We look first at a now Former sheriff deputy of Grant County Oregon by the name of Tyler Smith, and no that's not a fictitious name, it's his real name as far as we know according to the state. While on administrative leave from Aug. 9 to Dec. 16, Smith continued to earn county wages and benefits, costing the county between $5,785 and $7,290 per month depending on insurance options, totaling about $23,000-29,000 through to his termination. As we covered in a previous article earlier this year Smith was charged with multiple crimes including Rape while he was employed as a law enforcement officer.
Next we look at a second deputy sheriff of Grant County Oregon by the name of Deputy Abigail Mobley, who is still employed by the county after being placed on administrative leave March 18. Grant County officials have declined to discuss the circumstances surrounding the leave or to provide documents requested by the Eagle, stating the information was part of a “pending criminal investigation being conducted by a third-party state agency.” The Oregon Department of Justice confirmed an investigation involving Mobley was still ongoing in December, but Communications Director Kristina Edmunson has not responded to an email from the Eagle sent Jan. 3.
Mobley’s wages and benefits cost the county between $5,600 and $7,100 per month, so more than nine months of administrative leave has cost the county between $53,000 and $67,500.
These are just Two quick examples that pop to mind to make the point needing made, which is that Most people beLIEve that when the state reports taking "Discliplinary Actions" that results in "Adminstrative Leave" that what i tramslates into is a Paid Vacation and Not "Discliplinary" other than the fact they cannot be officially TRUSTED to continue actively work their Job duties to the standards of expectation yet are considered to have potential to return to their jobs, which is concerning. Persons who are employed within the Justice system of government should ALWAYS be able to be trusted while employed as such Or TERMINATED of their employment if and when hey're now. Should an employee of such fall into question of their integrity and honor they should in Our opinion NOT BE PAID nor receive any benefits until it's decided whether or not they are worthy of such entitlements.
