This shamanistic retreat will bring you five days of intense inner work with sweat lodge, rebirthing breath work, trance dance, heart dancing, soul retrieval, and the possibility of attending a maximum of three Ayahuasca ceremonies.
Day 1
The first day we start with sharing our intentions and getting to know each other. After this there will be a Holotropic breath work session. After the Holotropic breath work, we continue the Iboga ceremony, we take our first spoon of Iboga and continue lying down, in the ceremonial room. The journey will last for about two days then.
The Voyage can be divided in roughly three parts, according to the Bwiti, where the Iboga originates from: Death, the Land of the Deceased and Rebirth.
Most of the ceremony will be spend in the darkness and in silence.
Physical symptoms that can occur (mostly when you are moving): nausea, purging, seeing flashes of lights. Some participants experience the different phases as wonderful and even ecstatic. Others feel ultimately bored.
Day 2
The second day we have breakfast, lunch (soup) and the second ceremony in the night. After this, most participants sleep. For some the ceremony continues.
Day 3
We have breakfast together, will take a walk and share our experiences.
The effects after an Iboga ceremony are various. Some report an immediate powerful and grounded energy, a lot of action-potential, fast decision-making, and an easiness to accomplish things. This is often combined with a very clear mind and strong awareness.
Some people report feeling deeply tired, they sleep for 10-14 hours a night for weeks. Iboga brings you back to your natural state of being; when you have exhausted yourself for a long time, sleep will help you recover and heal.
