CONSTITUTION OF
KAUTANTOWIT'S MECAUTEA

ARTICLE 1: ESTABLISHMENT

Kautantowit's Mecautea (KM) is a per/temple/coven/church whose headquarters is located in city of Cottage Grove, North Douglas County in the proclaimed boundaries of the state of Oregon, and the United States of America Inc.

ARTICLE 1-2: PURPOSE:

Originally established as "The United Cannabis MINISTRIES OF Oregon" on the 14th of February in the year 2009, Kautantowit's Mecutea blessed into a free-standing independent church on the 14th day of February in the year 2010 as 'Soldiers of Jah Ministries', and were gifted our name 'Kautantowit's Mecautea' which we've maintained and known as since the 31st of August of 2013.

ARTICLE 1-3: REASON:

Kautantowit's Mecutea consists of a group of like-minded individuals spiritually coming together for a non-profit reason (including spiritual and religious) without filing specialized government paperwork, to which the United States Inc. defines as being an association. Corporations, including incorporated churches are normally controlled by state laws. Every state has different rules and laws. Most states distinguish between for profit and not-for-profit (or non-profit) corporations. California has a third category, "religious corporations" which we presume other incorporated states within the United States Inc. may also adopt as such option.

ARTICLE 1-4: BODY:

Kautantowit's Mecutea is an Association. KM had converted over to a corporation for a short period of time because of a promise of protection from a state for our members from persecution by their employees but reverted back from corporation to association when said promise was proven to be a LIE.

Some groups within Kautantowit's Mecutea including and involving members of Kautantowit's Mecautea such as Child Churches specifically avoid incorporation because we as the whole of KM don’t want their spiritual and religious activities subject to government control, interference, DICTATION or persecution.

Some groups within Kautantowit's Mecutea including specific Child Churches for example want and have the right to freely choose to incorporate for the government protection provided by a corporation, however, it is important to note that Kautantowit's Mecutea as our whole is not of them nor will KM as a "Mother Church" ever be.

From IRS publication p1828.pdf (available for free from the IRS website), inside front cover: “Congress has enacted special tax laws applicable to churches, religious organizations, and ministers in recognition of their unique status in American society and of their rights guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.”

From IRS publication p1828.pdf, page 3: “Automatic Exemption for Churches:
"Churches that meet the requirements of IRC section 501(c)(3) are automatically considered tax exempt and are not required to apply for and obtain recognition of tax-exempt status from the IRS.
“Although there is no requirement to do so, many churches seek recognition of tax-exempt status from the IRS because such recognition assures church leaders, members, and contributors that the church is recognized as exempt and qualifies for related tax benefits. For example, contributors to a church that has been recognized as tax exempt would know that their contributions generally are tax-deductible.”

From IRS publication p1828.pdf, page 3: “Religious Organizations' :

“Unlike churches, religious organizations that wish to be tax exempt generally must apply to the IRS for tax-exempt status unless their gross receipts do not normally exceed $5,000 annually.”

Kautantowit's Mecautea is a spiritual association and in their terms, a religious organization also.

From IRS publication p1828.pdf, page 4: “Cost for applying for exemption. The IRS is required to collect a non-refundable fee from any organization seeking a determination of tax-exempt status under IRC section 501(c)(3). Although churches are not required by law to file an application for exemption, if they choose to do so voluntarily, they are required to pay the fee for determination.”

From IRS publication p1828.pdf, page 4: “Note that not every organization that is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions is listed in Publication 78. For example, churches that have not applied for recognition of tax-exempt status are not included in the publication.”

So, as you can see, the IRS leaves the option of each individual church as to whether they want to fill out a whole bunch of paperwork and pay very expensive fees or not.

The only advantage KM can see to filling out the paperwork is having the Determination Letter and being listed in Publication 78, which would probably be useful or important only if you are attempting to get multi-million dollar grants which Kautantowit's Mecautea has no interest in trying to do.

And despite the claim by the IRS that a church is a “generic” term, KM personally feels it is unconstitutional for them to use the term church and force non-Christians to use that term.

The Kautantowit's Mecautea family is committed to growth by attraction through service rather than soliciting for membership.

ARTICLE 2

ARTICLE 2: CORE STRUCTURE:

Kautantowit’s Mecautea declares itself to be a Global Spiritual Tribal family.

ARTICLE 2--1; SPIRITUAL AUTONOMY:

Though Kautantowit’s Mecautea, as most indigenous tribes across Mother Globe are Matriarchal in nature, outward disposition and presentation, internally we know, honor, function and operate upon the key significance in DUALITY and honor such with reverence accordingly and equally when it comes to our spiritual creeds and practices including that of sex-the principles of fatherhood and motherhood. These beings were therefore apportioned in relative numbers to the two sexes equally within Kautantowit’s Mecautea’s core anatomy.

Kautantowit's Mecautea is Matriarchal in nature, we know and affirm that our projection is to promote with emphasis the significant importance of Duality. Even the Upper and the Lower and the Four Quarters were regarded as anthropic beings. They, too, were male and female; the Sky was male and a father; and the Earth was female and a mother; the Sun, their elder brother, was male, and the Moon, their grandmother, was female. And as this dual principle precedent to procreation was apparently everywhere present, it was deemed the part of wisdom.

ARTICLE 2-2: TRIBE:

Being hierarchically larger than a lineage or clan, but smaller than a  a nation or state, the body of Kautantowit’s Mecautea is different from the mainstream culture of a nation. Tribes reflect a primordial social structure from which all subsequent civilizations develop and flourish. Kautantowit's Mecautea is structured according to human history throughout all four corners of mother globe since time immortal and declare ourselves a Tribe.

A tribe is defined as being a body of persons who are bound together by ties of consanguinity, affinity and by certain esoteric ideas or concepts derived from their philosophy concerning "the genesis" (beginning) and preservation of the environing cosmos (Mother Earth & Father Sky), and who by means of these kinship ties are thus socially, politically, spiritually and religiously organized through a variety of ritualistic, governmental, and other institutions, and who dwell together occupying a definite territorial area, and who speak a common language or dialect.

As an indigenous group of human beings (which defines as "originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native") of Gaia (Mother Earth) that share common spiritual perspectives, beliefs, creeds, practices and who see ourselves as sharing a common heritage, we the Kautantowit’s Mecautea declare and define ourselves a Spiritual Tribe in honor and reverence to our elders' turned ancestors before us since time immortal.

In indigenous tribal history, they (our elders turned ancestors) often named themselves as "the people" to which we remain descendants of and so hereby declare affirmation that we are “The People”, meaning the living breathing human beings of Mother Earth.

Today, many tribes call themselves nations because they fit the basic definition of a nation. The term "First Nations" is used commonly to refer to the various indigenous groups living in Canada, and some tribal governments in the United States, e.g, the Navajos, have voted to refer to themselves as nations. Kautantowit’s Mecautea remain content in honoring the old ways if all four corners of our beloved Mother Earth and so retain the term tribe as used in many different contexts to refer to a category of human social group within and containing an extremely diverse human societies with other like minded social and kinship groups.

ARTICLE 2-3: INTERNAL ANATOMY:

Having endowed the bodies and elements of our environment and the fictions of our brains with human attributes, we regard these bodies and phenomena as anthropic beings, and so they imputed to theta even social relations, such as kinship and affinity, and not the least of these imputed endowments Many tribes are subdivided within it's core structure. Kautantowit’s Mecautea have such internal subdivisions as well, These are known as clans, bands and sub-bands.

A. CLAN:  Among  the most common subdivisions within tribes, including Kautantowit’s Mecautea is the clan system.

Kautantowit's Mecautea affirms itself as Bear Clan. The Bear Clan people are known as Medicine People, the healers. The bear clan is the medicine people for they know the healing ways of the plants available to them. There are stories passed down about how the Bear Clan people were given the gift of medicine from an elder woman who had the knowledge of all the medicine plants here on earth. She is cunning and knowledgeable about the plants of the forest.

Like the mother bear, the Bear Clan is responsible for protecting their people.  It is said that people of the Bear Clan are short tempered and live on the outside of the village to ensure the safety of the gentler clans inside the village. The mother bear protects her cubs with ferocity.

The Bear Clan draws its direction solely from our traditional philosophies and practices. The concept behind the Bear Clan is community people working with the community to provide personal security in the inner city in a non-threatening, non-violent, non-judgmental, and supportive way.  KM's Bear clan Members are defined below:

ALL members in Good Standing Are considered members of the Kautantowit's Mecautea are Bear Clan, including those members in Good Standing members of a sub-clan within the KM tribe. KM's Bear clan Officers are defined below:

B. CLANS WITHIN: Because it is quite common to speak of "clans" in reference to informal networks within the sphere of the tribe. Children Churches of Kautantowit’s Mecautea evolve into Clans upon their birth establishment as a child church by being members of the KM Spiritual tribal family and which consist of members who are in Good Standing.

The internal business of the clans are looked after by their own. But, when necessary, the clans come together as equals to work together for the good of everyone in the KM spiritual tribal family. To meet all the needs of the tribe, the clans work together and cooperate with it's bands to achieve their goals. The Clan System is
built in equal justice, voice, law and order and it reinforced the teachings and principles of a sacred way of life.

This usage reflects the assumption that their members act towards each other in a particularly close and mutually supportive way, approximating the solidarity among kinsmen. The distinguishing factor is that a clan is a smaller, integral part of a larger society such as a tribe. Clans have an official leader such as a Sachem ( "chief" ), a matriarch or patriarch ("High Priest/ High Priestess" );

C. BANDS: Bands are distinguished from tribes in that tribes are generally larger, consisting of many families. Tribes have more social institutions, such as a chief, big man, or elders. Tribes are also more permanent than bands; a band can cease to exist if only a small group splits off or dies.

The smallest "American Indian" groupings are extended families. Historically, band societies were found spread throughout the world, and as KM so they are and can be. Tribes were also divided into bands and other smaller groups that tended to live and travel together. The term "tribe" often has connotations of being a primitive grouping, but just as indigenous languages can be very sophisticated and complex, so can the social systems of tribes.

ARTICLE 2-4: OFFICERS BANDS: Each band within KM speaks as one voice and then these voices speak as one voice in general council which operates by consensus.  Consensus is a more cumbersome system of governance but it is by far the most productive one as everyone must work together to achieve one common solution. There is no official opposition as everyone is the government.

It is the duty of these representatives to, on a regular basis, actively engage their clan members to both give information and receive direction. It is also the duty of the band members to actively engage in their clan and government. If they choose to not engage, then they, by choice, give up their voice.

1. BEAR BAND:

A. SACHEM: The Sachem is the chief Executive Officer of the tribe. The Sachem listens to what the clan leaders say, and they then become the voice of the whole of the KM members.

B. CLAN CHIEFS: The Clan chiefs are the Chief Executive Officers within their clan. They are advisors to the tribe for the members of their clan specifically as well as are to be heard for the good of their clan and in regards to the good of the entire tribe. The clan chiefs are there for the people and the advisors at chiefs meetings. They bring back what they talked about in Grand Council and tell the Bison bands what went on. They then let the clan members know accordingly, and if there were a problem or a decision that had to be made by the community they all would have a chance to speak.

Then the chiefs would take it back to the clans and figure the best decisions for the people are. The chief would then go back and let the rest of the chiefs know what his community wants to do. The clan chief is the voice, ears, and advocate for his people and make up the KM Grand Council.

C. CHIEF MEDICINE PERSON: The Chief Medicine Person is ultimately responsible for the oversight of ALL sacred medicines used, distributed and cultivated by the tribe including all clans within the tribe. Each clan involved with the cultivation, sanctioning and use of sacred medicines are to have a qualified Medicine Person within their clan and are to establish a band within which will hold council and oversee all sacred medicines within their clan.

D. HOLY PERSON(s): The Holy Person is/are the faith Keeper within the tribe and within each Clan.  Their primary responsibility is to ensure that the four sacred ceremonies are being conducted. The four sacred ceremonies are The Great Feather Dance, Men's Chant, Water Drum Dance, and the Peachstone Game. They see to it that these four ceremonies stay active within the longhouse.

2. WOLF BAND: The Wolf Band are the ones who carry out what the Bear and Bison Bands say and decide via council protocol and who ensure the safety of the whole of the KM Tribe. In most Native cultures, Wolf is considered a medicine being associated with courage, strength, loyalty, and success at hunting. In the absence of a police force, the clan was the primary force of security in Norse society, as the clansmen were obliged by honor to avenge one another. The Norse clan was not tied to a certain territory in the same way as a Scottish clan, where the chief owned the territory. Like bears, wolves are considered closely related to humans.

The official state religion provided stability while local and family religion provided diversity and new ideas. The central belief Is Ma’at, which loosely translates as Cosmic balance, Cosmic order, truth, and justice. It simply isn’t possible to create a complete model of the ancient Egyptian culture and religion, even if using all of the information on ancient Egypt (Kemet) that is scientifically verifiable combined. There will inevitably be huge variation in how different individuals practice their own variation or derivation of ancient Egyptian religion. The ancient Egyptian religion changed over time and allowed a vast amount of local and family variation. Therefore, Kautantowit's Mecautea  lacks official dogma, although there should be agreement on some variation of the concept of Ma’at.

The Kautantowit's Mecautea spiritual "religion" provides research and information on traditional forms of the ancient Egyptian religion and ancient Egyptian Witchcraft.

Witchcraft: KM's spiritual "religion" provides research and information on the wide variety of Witchcraft, especially those that include and/or are based on the ancient Egyptian Witchcraft.

Goddess Plan: Kautantowit's Mecautea's spiritual "religion" provides research and information on how any woman can become Goddess incarnate. This plan involves healthy changes in nutrition and diet, as well as the use of herbs.

Religious Freedom:

KM's religion provides research and information on religious freedom issues.

The correct ancient Egytpian word is “per” or “pr”. This word is sometimes translated as “temple”. The U.S. and state governments require the use of the word “church”.

The modern English word church comes from the Middle English word chirche which comes from the Old English word cirice which comes from the Medieval Greek word kurakkan which comes from the Late Greek word ku~riakon (do~ma), which literally means “the Lord’s House”. The English word church specifically means the body of those who believe in and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Therein is a serious problem KM strives to overcome. Government laws and officials requiring that all religions, including non-Christian religions, acknowledge the completely fictional and non-existent Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is unambiguous violation of the first amendment prohibition against establishment of religion and the first amendment requirement for freedom of religion.

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that while the first amendment protects Christian religious thoughts, it cannot be assumed to allow all religious thought and that the legislators have a reasonable social interest in imposing Christian beliefs when there is a “compelling government interest”. So, you have to decide how strongly you want to fight for religious freedom.

Many non-Christians simply give in and call their group a Church and their leaders Ministers so as to avoid expensive legal fights that a five-person Roman Catholic majority of the U.S. Supreme Court probably will win anyway. This Misleads to such misconceptions as Buddhist temples calling themselves Churches and even leads to Jews calling themselves Churches and thereby in government paperwork acknowledging Jesus as their Lord in Savior after millennia of their brethren being tortured to death rather than acknowledge Jesus.

The IRS claims that the term church is a generic term that is religion independent in the same sentence where they admit that it is religion specific! From IRS publication p1828.pdf (available for free from the IRS website), page 2: “The term church is found, but not specifically defined, in the Internal revenue Code (IRC). The term is not used by all faiths; however, in an attempt to make this publication easy to read, we use it in its generic sense as a place of worship including, for example, mosques and synagogues.”

KM leaves it to each CHILD "church" within to decide how to deal with this issue.

ARTICLE 4: CHILD CHURCH OF KAUTANTOWIT'S MECAUTEA:

A child church of Kautantowit's Mecautea's spiritual and/or religious hierarchy may include the same people who serve in the secular officers, be a completely different group of people, or some combination. Normally the secular officers answer to the religious hierarchy, although a child church can do things the other way around internally though eaxh does remain subject to Kautantowit's Mecautea as their Mother and to the KM Moral Compass Code of Moral and Ethical Conductand Bylaws.

A child church is to have a minimum of ONE Spiritual Leader.

A coven typically has a high priest and/or high priestess. Some covens have degrees of priesthood, often three degrees (with third degree usually being the highest). Many covens give an actual religious job and title to every member of the coven. There can be a person who is the guardian of each of the four cardinal direcitons or four magickal elements. There can be a specific person (or more than one) who are designated to recite important rituals. if you want a religious job for every member of your coven, you can keep dividing up the ritual tasks until everyone has a religious title. Many covens have a religious title for every member other than new ones.

A group built on the traditional kemetic (ancient Egyptian) model will have a high priest and/or high priestess. Hem (male) and hemet (female) were the primary ancient Egyptian words for priest and priestess. The web priest (or priestess) was responsible for the purity of the ritual and the cleanliness of sacred rooms, tools, paraphenalia, and priesthood. The kher heb was the priest or priestess who recited the liturgy and magick spells. The sesh per ankh were the learned priesthood (including mathematicians, doctors, and scientists). The sesh ked were the artists of the priesthood.

Other religious traditions based on the Kemetic have other structures. If you belong to another tradition, you can research the historical religious structure of your tradition.

Determining structure includes deciding who does what, who answers to whom, who has the decision making power and to what degree there are rules in place to govern what everyone does. Just as the skeletal system provides support to the human body, while at the same time allowing it the agility to move and bend, the ideal structure for a church in today’s world would be one that gives it both the stability and agility needed to meet its objectives in a continuously changing environment.

Because KM comprehends that the cosmic visions of indigenous peoples are significantly diverse, that each nation and community has its own unique traditions. Perhaps the most important aspect of indigenous cosmic visions is the conception of creation as a living process, resulting in a living universe in which a kinship exists between all things. Thus the Creators are our family, our Grandparents or Parents, and all of their creations are children who, of necessity, are also our relations.

ARTICLE 4A: CHILD CHURCH DISPOSITION:

Each individual child church community is strongly encouraged to maintain its own spirit and characteristic worldview, and act according to its own fundamental values. Each Child Church of KM passes down its own myths, conducted its own rituals,   Because of this, the most distinctive aspect of American Indian religious traditions is the extent to which they are wholly community based and may have no real meaning outside of the specific community in which the acts and ceremonies are conducted.

All Child Churches of KM remain under the wing of protection of Kautantowit's Mecautea, legally and otherwise provided they remain in Good Standing with KM and the KM Moral Compass Code of Moral and Ethical Conduct.

The following dispositions are honored by Kautantowit's Mecautea for our Child Churches:

1. NEWBORN CHILD OF KAUTANTOWIT'S MECAUTEA:

A newborn child church of KM is a very special and joyful blessing we offer to share with mother globe and all her inhabitants of human beings indeed as it means affirms and proves that KM is flourishing as well as becoming a beneficial asset to society as well as to the whole of mother earth. Each of them is born into a community who honor, respect and have its own destiny regarding its particular purpose for life.

Newborn children have a basic structure of their own. As they proceed to grow, each child church will choose which spiritual religious traditions they will practice.

2. BABY CHURCH OF KAUTANNTOWIT'S MECAUTEA:

A baby church of KM is a very delicate era of their personal growth and development. Rituals, ceremonies and other practices vary within the KM spiritual tribal family.

The nativism (the assertion of traditional values in the face of foreign encroachment) remain in alignment of the KM Moral Compass Code of Moral and Ethical Conduct completely.

3. TINY TOT CHURCH OF KAUTANTOWIT'S MECAUTEA:

A tiny tot church of KM is a blessing to the KM spiritual tribal family because it is in it's formable phase of growth and is very impressionable.

KM's young children are each a unique blessing to the KM spiritual tribal family as each have their own energy and personality. Although core elements of KM's creed traditions are passed on from mother to child, individual traditions that are being adapted to each of their regional environments.

The rituals of a KM Church allow believers to experience a revelation of mystical knowledge from the Creator.

The objective of a young KM church is offering spiritual guidance and support to its members.

Members of a tiny tot KM church believe in the importance of helping the world in order to create peace, health, and freedom. They seek guidance from the Great Spirit in protecting the earth, continuing the ways of their ancestors, and caring for future generations.

4. TEEN CHURCH OF KAUTANTOWIT'S MECAUTEA;

Our teen children are truly apples of the KM eye. Teenage children of KM share prominent beliefs amongst their church members that all plants are purposefully created by the Great Spirit for medicinal, spiritual, and healing purposes and choose to actively utilize and benefit from them.

5. INDEPENDANT CHILD CHURCH OF KM:

Though these of our children have flourished into a strong, independent and confident individual of their own... good, bad or indifferent they are our children and we continue to love and care for them as best as we can and do what we can to be of beneficial service, support and resource throughout the duration of their lives

FERTILITY:

Kautantowit’s Mecautea retains the right of authority to establish “Child (Satellite) spiritual collectives (Churches) as tribally such occurs where a child is "born into" one's mother's clan.  If a child church comes to represent symbolically a single sex, it would consequently be regarded as unnatural or abnormal and may naturally follow as a taboo, the breaking of which was sacrilegious and unnecessarily self-constricting as well as detrimental to itself and it’s members from our perception.

NOTE: Child Churches CANNOT Pro-create without the Official Approval ("blessing") by their mother church.

ARTICLE 5

ARTICLE 5: MEDICINE PERSONS:

Kautantowit's Mecautea family Medicine Person (Spiritual and Indigenous Ceremonial Leader) need not claim exclusive or definitive knowledge of his or her practice, since wisdom and competencies are frequently developed over years of observation and experience. However, every KM Medicine Person must be approved to do this work by both their church leadership council and the leadership of KM Mother Church. Responsibility to assure that those who act as KM Medicine people (Spiritual and Indigenous Ceremonial Leaders) are trained, responsible, and have the wisdom and integrity to conduct ceremonies in a safe and traditional manner and those who choose to work with sacraments rests with the child church leadership and Mother Churches which should ALWAYS be and remain in alignment with one another and true north on the KM Moral Compass.

Even though one of the Kautantowit's Mecautea families primary purposes are to administer support and Sacred Ceremonies, services and rituals/rites and etc., a Kautantowit's Mecautea family Medicine Person or Indigenous Ceremonial Leader is free to choose not to administer a sacred medicine during any particular Ancestral Indigenous Earth–Based Ceremony as do each member and other participant have the right to use or decline any of them at any time without grievance.

The Kautantowit's Mecautea family respect all empowerment and healing modalities, including: Indigenous Spiritual Ceremonies, allopathic medicines, naturopathic and integrative complimentary medicines. The Kautantowit's Mecautea family honor the fundamental Hippocratic principle of “Do No Harm to the Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, and/or Physical Being” of any of our Earthly relations. It recognizes that each healing and empowering modality is intended to promote the optimal health and well–being of the participant regardless of membership status. It believes that all forms of care can be incorporated into empowerment and/or healing for all of our relations, in a complementary and integrated manner.

The Kautantowit's Mecautea family considers itself a protector of all the webs within mother earths sacred hoops, including and especially all which is considered sacred medicines, and therefore requests that all members and medicine people ONLY sit with sacred medicines for prayer, healing, medicinal and ceremonial purposes. No member is to ever share, trade, sell, purchase or give any sacred medicines/sacraments to non-members Outside of a ceremonial or healing service to be used unsupervised, regardless of their membership in KM. Doing so removes any legal protection over the medicine and exposes the non-member to criminal prosecution. No one except an authorized KM Medicine Person, Spiritual Leader, authorized Cultivator, or Medicine Custodian can share and accept contributions for medicines or provide medicines in this way for all involved.

ARTICLE 6

ARTICLE 6: SACRED CEREMONIES:

The purpose of sacred ceremonies is to get each of you connected with mother earth and father sky in proper and good medicine way under the guidance and wisdom of a recognized spiritual leader, healer and/or medicine person who can assist you in the process of healing and empowering your life and your health in the ways you need. They cannot do that if you are not with them in the sacred circle or misusing the sacred medicines which defeats the ultimate goal of spiritual reconnection and enlightenment.

We the Kautantowit's Mecautea family take very seriously the responsibility of assisting people and making sure each participant is physically, emotionally and spiritually safe and well enough to participate successfully in their own personal healing, growth and enlightenment, and that the sacred medicines are worked with in a safe way and honorable manner. because a bad trip does none of us any beneficial service and they are here to help us as we help one another.

ARTICLE 7

ARTICLE 7: "CONTROLLED" SACRED MEDICINES:

For those in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, India, Australia, Scotland, Ireland, and Great Britain, we do have a short introduction to the religious creed of Kautantowit's Mecautea if you have the misfortune of dealing with Christian government officials who refuse to recognize any religion other than their own. as we Know that we are not considered "among them" as the whole of the Kautantowit's Mecautea family accept all-natural organic plants, fungi, vitamins, minerals, metals, liquids, nutrients and etc. as Sacred Healing Medicines, some of which ARE deemed "Controlled Substances".

ARTICLE 8

ARTICLE 8: SACRED MEDICINES:

The Kautantowit's Mecautea family is part of a Spiritual Earth-Based Healing and empowering international collective that serves individuals and the wider community whenever and wherever an KM member resides. Part of our ability to do so is because of the gifted blessings of and from TWO separate "Native American Churches, the first being ONAC , which is authorized to do this sacred work by a special blessing from both Leslie Fool Bull and Richard Swallow, Medicine Men of the Lakota Sioux nation, and the second being NAC Morning Star and Half Moon.

Members who sit with sacrad medicines need to be aware of the strictness of this policy. It is for your safety and legal protection as well as to ensure all of our integrity as persons individually as well as of the Kautantowit's Mecautea family

A minimum of four (4) sunsets must pass from the completion of a sacrad medicine ceremony before the same or a different KM authorized medicine person can conduct a ceremony of a different primary sacrad medicine, unless otherwise authorized by the KM Council of Advisors encompassing said medicines. This is a critical requirement, and it is made for your safety. There must be no mixing of medicines and/or sitting with different master medicines within that 4-sunset period, as that is out of compliance.

All KM Indigenous Ceremonies ranging from Birth, Breath, Marriage, Passing Over, Prayer Pipe, Sacred Medicine and healing ceremoies as well as rituals and rites involving spiritual energy manifestations and magickal workings and ceremonies such as the Ghost Dance, Sun Dance, Sweat Lodge, Earth Connecting Ceremonies, Vision Quests, Powwows and etc. may include or facilitate extreme spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical transformations, therefore, when a member chooses to participate in any Ancestral Ceremony whether traditional or New Age conducted with the assistance of a recognized  Kautantowit's Mecautea family Medicine Person or Spiritual Leader, each take on special responsibilities and understandings, meaning members and facilitating leaders should be aware of their responsibilities and those of the people they are working with, especially when allowing non-members to witness or participate with the anticipation they are completely nieve to the ceremony and help lead and guide them through in  good medicine way for all involved.

ARTICLE 10

ARTICLE 10: FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS:

Financial resources are essential to the sustainability as well as flourishment of Kautantowit's Mecautea.

It is an effort to restore to our community the capacity to address our own needs.

Every shamanic practitioner wrestle with setting a price for shamanic work. The majority of shamanic practitioners have a heart felt desire to help and the money is not the prime motivator for doing the work. But people often place a value on something based on how much it cost. It can be a bad idea to set the fee so low that the client doesn’t take the work seriously. It is also important that the practitioner has a sense for his or her own value. The shaman healer’s time is worth something. Additionally, the person getting healed gets as much out of it as they give. I have seen a pride on the face of clients when they have paid me, like “I did this for myself” or “I provided for myself.”

In tribal societies the shamanic work might be paid in food, or livestock or other services. The main thing was that something was given for something received. Nowadays, the shamanic practitioner must take into account the economic conditions of the area they are living in. High cost of living areas mean higher prices, but what about the people who can’t afford those costs? Some practitioners handle this by putting themselves on a donation basis. But in the case where a healer does have a price, they often are willing to accept another fee or an exchange of services.

The fee is all about an exchange of value. It is just like the parable where the beggar gave his last coin, and the rich man’s contribution (although 10x the amount) was not as valuable as the first man’s contribution. Different amounts of money have different values to different people. So it is understandable that you may offer a different amount.

If a fee is more than you can afford and the healer is not open for negotiation, that just means they aren’t the right healer for you.

Some practitioners will accept an exchange of services: Do you know how to make a good flier? Are you an excellent baker? This hearkens back to the tribal societies where goods where given for shamanic healing. I know the story of a healer who lived in a remote location. She felt the extreme effort involved in getting to her home, was a fair exchange for the healing work.

The important thing is that you offer what you feel the healing is worth. Shamanic healing is a situation where what you offer has an effect on the healing. The giving of the exchange fee or item has an opening effect on you energetically. If you are stingy that will close you up, blocking the healing pathway.  If you were raised to make a dollar stretch until it begs for mercy, you may want to ask yourself if that is necessary in this situation.

This is not about paying as much as possible to get back as much as possible.  It is only about giving freely of what you have to give.  When you give freely, it gives the spirits the message that this person is here, she is committed to this. They will then work on your behalf in the spirit of your own commitment.
