It's truly a blessing when we take the opportunity to be there for someone when they really need you or touching the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. You are defending your rights against infringement for your personal as well as collective right of religious and spiritual choice, belief and practice. "To become a member of the Native American Church, you must be a member of a Federally recognized Tribe, Nation, or Community of Indians and possess a Tribal Membership Card and a Certificate Degree of I"ndian Blood" issued by an agency of the Unites State Bureau of Indian Affairs. This policy is in compliance with Federal, State, and local laws pertaining to Native American Church membership guidelines. The saddest point that we first make, is that it's not a decision that the people under the regulation has even had the right to express voice on for themselves, it's their oppressor of over 500 Years now (and counting).... the Government who are dictating and deciding these "Rules and Regulations" for them, and then forcibly infringing consequences (and fear Of consequences) should they not remain "In Compliance."

For Kautantowit's Mecautea... (as it Should be for Them) it is flat Unacceptable! This is why we make it a focal goal to Return the Blessing that was gifted and entrusted to secure, preserve, protect and return to our tribal brothers and sisters as the protective shield for ALL as it was so instructed with intention to do whence it was given.

It is Important that you understand, and that we Emhasize to you that our reservation born brothers and sisters, whose blood quantum determines them "Federally recognized Tribal Member" is far from the picnic filled with peaches and cream it may have otherwise appeared presented. Truth be told, it is they who remain the most Oppressed American born human beings of us all.

"Tribal member" translates into "owned/controlled PROPERTY" of their oppressor, the US Government... as sure as "Tribal Reservations" are defined in their translation into "Prisoner of War Camps" each assigned their own POW identification number! The resulting consequences and outcome of this sad reality as it legally remains, is in their continued Oppression, such as in the Dictation regarding their rights, liberties and freedoms over even their own spiritual and religious Belifes and Creed practice!

One of the saddest bad medicine consequences for continuing to condone such oppressive infringements is found in the whole "Tribal Card/ Tribal blood quantum" restriction is that it is an illegal law of RACIAL prohibition, one that if is allowed to continue to be overlooked as acceptable Will ultimately result in the complete Disconnection from tribal born descendants and the ways, wisdom and teachings of their ancestor relations.

The elders who Blessed Kautantowit's Mecautea knew and forsaw that by accepting that "rule" helplessly as the oppressor and their "authorized" (aka "Controlled") Native American Churches "Claim" vs "Denounce" as they coincidentally do ALL BIA Governed chapters of Native American Churches, that sure destruction and complete LOSS of the ways of the ancestor and instructional wisdom of Great Creator would Forever be LOST to all we human beings born upon Turtle Island as well as beyond... ultimately enabling our ability to live with the earth and hindering if not destroying many others inability to do so without any fault or choice of their own.

As they've watched their children have children with non-tribal companions, and their grandchildren growing up and swaying toward the same, the elders KNOW that their great grandchildren will likely NOT meet their oppressors "Required Blood Quantum" allowing them the rights of choice in regards to learning the ways of their ancestor relations, nor participating in the traditions and ceremonies Especially on reservations Allowed "Traditional Practice" of their cultural customs and beliefs.

"We receive a large number of inquiries from Universities and Cultural Research Groups asking for permission to "Study" our native practices and attend ceremonies as observers. This attitude shows a total disrespect for native beliefs and custom and is offensive to many Native Peoples, and is not supported by the Utah NAC."

This is sad, again, on multitudes of levels, the first most Obviously being the enabling of the intentional losing of the culture, not just for the direct descendants but for the whole of mankind across Mother globe. Creator would Wish sacred wisdom entrusted to our tribal elders to preserve and in the right time again Teach... not Just to the tribal bloodlines of Quantum but to ALL our fellow human beings upon mother globe - THAT was the instruction after all, wasn't it when it was given?

Additionally, the fact that they wish to be the primary source of such wisdom teachings, and yet justify their oppressors "rules" to then elect to REFUSE such creditable establishments as Cultural Research Groups, like what the tribal members were themselves trying to establish and maintain Least we forget Occupy Alcatraz, and too, from Universities to which otherwise remain justified in Mis-Educating societies youth in regards to the true and factual history long overdue that would solidify our NEED in respectfully Honoring our tribal brothers and sisters opposed to continuing to accept their oppression.

If we look back to the Reasoning given Behind the very first establishment and incorporation of Any "Native American Church" back in the times in Oklahoma that the original NAC was established, do they all Not say that it was "In Effort of PRESERVING the traditions?!" Why then would the NAC not only REFUSE the continuation of that initiated effort, but then go so Far as to say that Many native tribal peoples get "offended" at others wanting to learn, honor and maybe even learn to Live by it - again was that not the reason Creator GAVE it to their ancestors WITH that very Instruction!?!

Simple mathematics of the 1+1=2 becomes transparent as to WHY the tribal members remain the most Legally Oppressed people of the American Continents! Perhaps as we continue Our "mission" in this, our tribal brothers and sisters will realize that it's time They initiate their desire for the long overdue Honorable changes in regards to their standing as native born American's, and most importantly of all, their Rights as Creators Creation! Kautantowit's Mecautea are help to Highly encourage that they do, and too, to re-enforce that the rest of us Mongrel Americans are here Willing to stand, not "For" but "Beside" them, honored to learn and fulfill prophecy Honorably with them!

In turn, it too makes the line of division between what Creator deems as "Right and Wrong" as equally clear... at least for those looking for it, and Explains why BIA governed Native American Churches continue to hate on and speak against non-BIA governed Native American Churches, and why their remains a broken affiliation between them... it will remain so until They change the Ignorance of their ways, become TIRED of being Owned and Oppressed PROPERTY of All of our oppressive "Government" and freely choose to Rise up and take part in the Liberation of All Life's right to Freedom As Creation!

We are IN the Seven Sacred Fire Times, and the prophecies including Eagle and Condor ARE Fulfilling all around us and right before our literal Eyes... look around Knowing their signs and say it's not so... it Is So! It is the time that we meaning ALL born upon Turtle Island to wake up and come together at the feet of our ancestor and Especially so to the elders of our Tribal relations , sit at their feet, and Humbly learn the ways and teachings from Great Creator handed down and preserved for Generations of their ancestors in spite of the attempted oppression and destruction of it... Become an Official Member

So, here is Our mandated procedures regarding recognition of an applicant to be affiliated withKautantowit's Mecautea:

Individual Adoption by one or more of our Child Churches: Because the churches that we have adopted as the child churches of the Broken Arrow of the Native American Church of the Morning Star and Half Moon not only contain at least ONE officially ordained Spiritual Leader/Medicine Person of KM but too, additionally carry a blessing upon the whole of their church, all members of our child churches Are recognized and honored as being Associated with us. However, there is a big difference in having that association and having Official recognition as being an Official Member of KM directly. One of the key essential differences Is that we stand by our child church and do trust their judgement BUT without an Official Adoption being processed, we do NOT stand Directly with what we call "Informally adopted member" our child church has adopted. IF your desire is to have KM stand Unquestionably by your side as if you are one of our family, then we Highly Encourage you to ensure You initiate a formal "Official Adoption" through our child church so you can achieve that security personally for yourself and or your loved ones or other relations. Please understand that IF a member is caught being dis-aligned with Our Moral and Ethical Compass Code, we will NOT stand with or for you in whatever dishonorable situation you may find yourself in, regardless of whether your officially adopted or not - it's Important to Us that you understand and respect this position BEFORE electing to and initiating yourself as a prospective member. We will NOT allow one or even a few bad seeds put the entirety of our church family in question when it comes to the Integrity of our position as a Church and will make NO EXCEPTIONS to this strict code of standard. If you Cannot meet or agree to our compass, we thank you for your time and interest and welcome you to still consider being an associate to us, but we could not in good conscious consider accepting and receiving you as among our Family as of the time.
Having clarified that, below you will find the following membership options We offer You through the churches of our children"

(A) Apprentice Adoption: An apprentice adoption is the basic membership option the the descendants of Native American Church of the Morning Star and Half Moon offers as "Official Recognition" meaning that We stand Directly With you along with our child church who has willingly adopted and is now Sponsoring your ability to be our member. This option MUST BE ATTAINED before Any additional options for members become open to you, period, no exceptions.

This option is available to ANY human being Over the age of 13 years of age, though minors Will need a parent or guardian to consent, which we Do have a form for them to complete and also too, we have an option called a Family Ryder that we extend for members who have minor children younger than age 13 as well in the hopes it will help you.

(B) Church Affiliation Adoption option: Our Church Affiliation Adoption option is an offering to our members in Good Standing which already have a Pre-Existing Church who are seeking a layer of protection as well as recognition For Your Church.

This option will Require some additional contractual agreements ANNUALLY as well as a recommencement token offering Annually which you will be able to review in basic general format by clicking on the link provided here for your convenience:

(C) Tribal Nation Confederation Adoption option: A Tribal Nation Confederation Adoption is an option which we Welcome ALL Tribal Nations to consider, whether federally recognized or not, especially those tribes which stand in support and solidarity for the goal of our objectives as the Native American Church of the Morning Star and Half Moon.

This option will Require some additional contractual agreements ANNUALLY as well as a recommencement token offering Annually which we believe will prove itself to be worth its weight in gold in the broader scope of the picture, especially as we continue to flourish across as well as Beyond the bounds of Turtle Island!

Level One: Informal Adoption. "Prospect Initiate"

A Level One membership is the first formal step in adoption because it is our official documenting that you are in process of becoming an official member. Individuals over the age of 13, or under age 13 but with parent/guardian consent who are interested in becoming members of Kautantowit's Mecautea can initiate themselves or be initiated by their parent/guardian as a Level One which is an official Apprentice membership.

Initiating yourself into Level One is FREE of Charge. It consists of your submitting a formal request of membership consideration application, learning key points to being an KM Member including your benefits, obligations and basic standards of conduct expectation as a KM Member.

Applicants MUST Read and AGREE to the Moral Compass Code of Ethical Conduct of Kautantowit Mecautea in order to be considered for official membership. for your official record. If you cannot agree to respect our Moral Compass Code of ethical conduct then we ask that you kindly not apply for official membership into Kautantowit Mecautea as of the present time.

Once your application is received and processed. upon approval you will receive an official Letter from Kautantowit Mecautea Native American Church (KM) either confirming or denying your membership application, whichever the case may be.

Prospects

Level Two: Formal Adoption

A Level TWO membership is the second formal step in adoption because it is our official confirming that you are sincere in progress of becoming a formal member. Members who are interested in becoming members of Kautantowit's Mecutea Native American Church (KM NAC) family must advance themselves as a Level Two member, including the Round-table between you and the spiritual leader of Kautantowit's Mecautea... sachem Hawkeye Graves.

Initiating yourself into Level Two consists of the spiritual leader submitting a formal "Letter of Adoption & Good Standing" request of membership which in turn results in the official recording on the KM NAC roll.

Level Three: Complete Adoption

A Level THREE membership is the Final formal step in adoption because it is our Mother Churches Confirmation to the Federal Government that you are an Undisputable MEMBER!

KM Core Structure; Degrees

Some view the three part initiation of Kautantowit's Mecautea (KM) as representing a progressive teaching directed toward perfecting human nature. It is a simple and straightforward view of human nature divided into three parts: body, mind and soul. Each Degree addresses and instructs one part.

The symbolism of the Entered Apprentice Degree emphasized beginnings, spiritual birth, the first steps and youth, orientation to the Light, which are all consistent with a rite of induction into the KM spiritual tribal Family. The Entered Apprentice Degree encompasses the body and our faculties of action in the world.

The four cardinal virtues are extolled as the proper guides to our action in the world that we may perfect our relation to it. In the Entered Apprentice’s Degree, we are symbolically born out of darkness into the light of moral truth and duty, out of a merely physical into a spiritual world. Symbolically, we enter into a new environment, as the child does at birth, with a new body of motive and law, taking vows to live by the highest standard of values

The Second Degree is the Fellow Craft Degree, which it is presumed symbolically that we are entering on an advanced stage of life (adulthood), where we are face to face with serious labors and struggles, and the dominant note of the Degree is self-improvement. In this Degree, its symbolism teaches us that virtue is always to be our primary consideration, and that, no knowledge, nor success purchased at the sacrifice of morals, honor or integrity, is of abiding value.

The pathway of strict rectitude and justice is emphasized as the only safe pathway. The Fellow-Craft Degree also teaches that, as the Operative Mason, in building an upright structure, was compelled to adhere to the laws of architectural and building construction and to work rigidly by the (tools of that Degree), so, in the building of personal character, we must live and work in harmony with the moral principles which the working tools of the Second Degree symbolize. of Fellow Craft symbolizes the methods of developing and progressing in the Craft; and, in a sense, the emergence into spiritual wo/manhood. The Fellow Craft Degree addresses the mind and its faculties. We are instructed in the Seven Liberal Arts and Sciences, which were formulated hundreds of years ago, in order to develop and perfect the mental nature. The intention is to prepare the mind for spiritual truths.

Therefore, we find symbols of advancement, passage, instruction and elevation throughout this Degree. We find symbolism of taking the next step and a new way of approaching the East. What was considered in the last Degree to be our weaker nature has now been squared and elevated. While keeping our fidelity to the Three Great Lights, we deepen our connection with the KM Spiritual Family and take on new commitments. Our Working Tools are now testing instruments. With them, we try, square and prove. With them we learn to develop the faculty of judgment: what is valuable, what is true, what is real.

The Third Degree confers the central Mystery of Freemasonry; that is, how the soul may be brought to its perfection. In the Master Member’s Degree, we are symbolically brought into the presence of the Deity. It is the Holy of Holies... the realms of the Gods and Goddesses, and it represents the symbol of the Heavens... better known as "the home of the Ancients". Nothing common nor unclean was allowed to enter therein, and it was there that the visible presence of Deity was said to dwell between the Cherubim.

In the Master Member’s Degree, we have our attention symbolically and solemnly directed to death and the future life; also, the deeper symbolism of this Degree leads us in thought to the sacred chamber of that spiritual temple of self, and we are entreated to make it a fit dwelling place for Deity. KM's Third Degree symbolizes the revelation of Divine truth in the life that is to come.

The Degree unites men by the five mystic points of fellowship, binding them in a bond of fraternal fellowship and brotherly love, and in a vivid manner, portrays the darkness of death, and the obscurity of the grave, as the forerunner of the larger and fuller life beyond. In no uncertain way this Degree teaches us immortality, not by means of argument but by the presentation of a ceremonial picture.

We are only here for an allotted period of time before we each shall come then face to face with the record of our thoughts, words and actions by the Most High, Who will reward or punish, as we have obeyed or disregarded the Holy Divine commands. Let us therefore renew our dedication to the high ideals of our Order and practice our spirituality everywhere—in the home, in social as well as public life, in business and every other sphere, the duties we have been taught, and thereby prove to the world the happy and beneficial effects of our ancient and honourable Institution and we ought to be better human for our association with KM.
