Our Project Goals
There are certain features or characteristics that are unique to projects and differentiate them from the daily operations or other types of activities of an organization.
For KM, a project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result and aimed to drive changes in teams, organizations, or societies. Projects require resources such as labor, materials and equipment. Organizations and individuals manage projects with a wide range of objectives. These can take many forms, from constructing a building to planning an event and even completing a certain duty.
The work will be considered a project if it meets one or more of the following criteria:

is estimated to take over 320 hours (effort)

requires coordination among two or more groups within KM

is estimated to take longer than six months

will involve more than one area onf KM effort

has a difficult to understand problem or solution is considered to be complicated

involves contracting with outside vendor(s)

has dependencies to/on other projects or endeavors

must be delivered within a short or specific timeframe
These are the five phases KM requires to be included into a Project submission:
1. Initiation;
2. Planning;
3. Execution;
4. Monitoring;
5. Closure;
If you have a project suggestion, please feel welcomed and encouraged to submit it to the KM Project Trestle board for consideration. Please also factor in the project management triangle, which are the Time (including notable milestones), Scope and Cost along with the resources necessary to complete the project, such as for example, labor, raw materials, machinery and equipment.
Short-Term Projects
KM Spiritual Tribal Family's Help Hemp Restore Maui
Because of the un-natural disaster that struck Maui with fire during the summer of 2023, the whole of KM is striving to initiate a Project known as "Help Hemp Restore Maui" which entails gathering and utilizing Cannabis "Hemp" for the urgently needed Manufactured physical products to generate the needed materials Maui Residents need to rebuild their communities. Our main focus as KM is to provide programs and services towards the genuine needs of the Maui residents in devistated communities. This project strives toward encouraging and supporting of the materials needed to rebuild residential buildings and structures ranging from houses and apartment complexes from the foundation up.
