Because our grandmother the Moon is so obviously undeniably deeply connected with the water element as she is, and too, because water is known and respected for being the purifier/cleaner of all things including our own personal energies, KM's Coven ALWAYS highly encourages our members to include baths into your personal ritualistic routines, but not just for the purpose of you're getting clean, for all of the gifts of wisdom and enlightenment and supportive assistance grandmother moon is trying to give during this particular time of her revolutionary season. As we covered rather in-depth during you're Second Degree training, each month's moon has a very specific symbolic representation and wisdom teaching gifts to bestow into our personal as well as collective lives. For a refresher we higly encourage you to reflect back to those teachings for specific information about each moon, including this one if so needed BEFORE you prepare and initiate your ritual(s).
New Moon affirmations are potent phrases of intent which you can use to anchor your work during the New Moon. You can say them as a blessing, during your intentions, while you are giving thanks or just on their own as a little mini ritual.
SACRED NEW MOON BATH RITUAL
* Set New Moon intentions in your New Moon Journal
* Run a sacred bath
* Add salts, essential oils, herbs or flower petals
* Create sacred altar space with candles, crystals or statues
* Enter the bath and visualize a renewal of your energy
* You can draw even more nourishing energy with an affirmation:
“I am renewed with this New Moon. I am replenished. I am open to new beginnings.”
The New Moon brings us the energy of beginnings and is a cosmic refresher. It is a time to leave the past behind and immerse yourself in the energy of rebirth. Open yourself to abundance and possibility unfolding in your life.
To celebrate this Full Beaver Moon, immerse yourself in a warm bath infused with rose water and lavender oil. If a bath is not practical for you, sit beside a pool (or even a bowl!) of scented water. As you relax in the sacred water, or near it, recite this prayer and others of your own making:
Full Moon above, I wake from my sleep your servant, ready for service, forgiveness and love. Light my path, extinguish my wrath, and guide me above with the lark and the dove. Allow me to build up there, to be giving, open and fair.
This prayer and others you may devise and recite release the thoughts and anxieties that no longer attach to you. In your sacred bath or beside the water, you gather them up and let them go. And as you emerge from this ritual, imagine that you are stepping into the full moonlight that protects you and feeds your soul.
